I've been having more fun leveling up in this game in the past week than I have in the past year.
And guess what? Even at level 50 there's still a reason to join EXP grind parties!
You just said that leveling should be quick to get to the "fun stuff" lol.
And even if you're having fun now because it's quick, there are far better ways to make it fun, that make far more sense than just making it quick.
I agree! But skipping ahead by giving players mountains of EXP is not the answer. And leveling should be quick because unless you really like killing hundreds of the same monster over and over again for hours upon end, you should be able to level up quickly then go do fun stuff rather than get bogged down in boring, mindless exp grinds.
The answer is to generate enough content to carry the player from point A to point B so that he's not doing the same thing over and over. Y'know, stuff like adventure.
PLing is a false answer to the issue of tedium. Whatever content was being designed to carry us through to 50 is now quickly becoming useless. It's a short sighted answer to a problem that will only plague them later on, as it did FFXI.
You seem to have some insider info that we're all unaware of. Please divulge.but there is nothing bugged or glitchy about how SE has worked out EXP distribution. It is exactly as they intended it.

Exactly. This is the point I was trying to make, but I think you said it better than I did.I agree! But skipping ahead by giving players mountains of EXP is not the answer.

Stop the presses! Newsflash! Low-level content isn't useful to people who aren't low-level!I agree! But skipping ahead by giving players mountains of EXP is not the answer.

I got something else that'll blow your mind.
In a few years, all of this will be useless.
In 200 years, we'll all be dead, and most of us will be forgotten.
Is this REALLY that big a deal?
Stop the presses! Newsflash! New players are coming in! They need to find people to play with! If all the old players are simply PLing their other jobs, who will they play with? What choice do they have but to beg to be PLed?Low-level content isn't useful to people who aren't low-level!
Or they can solo grind! Or they can put forth a little effort instead of being anti-social aspies like a good 90% of the game's population and find people their level to PT with (yes, they're out there).
Or, WHO CARES WHAT THEY DO? As long as they're playing the game and having fun, what does it matter?
Sorry, I couldn't resist doing this.
