I'd reply with the same thing I've been saying over and over and over in this and other threads like it, but I'm just going to let you have your opinion on this one. TLR version would be: "Broken EXP breaks the game".

Only for the people who choose to break it. By choosing not to take part in it, the game is not broken for you."Broken EXP breaks the game".
Look, i'm not advocating the act, only explaining to you that it DOES NOT HURT YOU IF YOU ARE NOT INVOLVED. If anything, it helps you, because those extra level 50s are producing more resources which you can purchase, but at the worst, it does not hurt you, unless the players that are doing it are somehow directly interfering with your ability to play. Which, I do not see anyone who is acting like that.
I'm sure they will make adjustments as necessary, but your GIANT FONT RAGE ARRRGH! was unnecessary. Other people's broken EXP doesn't break YOUR game. After all, for all intents and purposes, if anyone was already high level before you started playing, they are effectually power leveled, because they got to high levels before you.
If that sounds like silly logic, that's mostly because it is- but so is yours.

Directly? no. Of course not.
Indirectly? There's too many ways that it could. Economy being favored towards high level players (I'm low level at the moment). Low-mid level content being largely ignored. Good campsites possibly being ruined by monsters being claimed in droves by PLers.
If SE decides to start favoring this new system, they'd never fix what's wrong with the early game. Why bother? Players would just skip it. Then they'd have to continuously pump out endgame content just to keep people playing, and we're not even halfway ready to be at that stage yet. That's FFXI's territory currently, and they're not getting any new players last I checked. Why alienate new players when what we need now is new players?
That's what I'm afraid of, and that's why I'm against PLing in the extremes that it's reported to have been. And until SE puts the issue to rest, I'll keep voicing my opinion.

LOL cash shop! SE's way to tell their player how they appreciate them... pull the carrot and empty your pockets $$$
And to those who support it: you are kicking yourselves. -- We just need to sit back and laugh at people with cash shop items.
(Marvelous economics IQ test!)

I laugh at all this because this the funnest thing i heard EVER!
For a start look at the market for gear under rank 50 that is not dated and useless.
Find any i think not!
Dose it effect anyone else? No cause there are plenty of mobs all over the game!
Just look at the server i play on for a start there not a single other player out there when i go to level ever!
You say i should party with people my level! Well try find some on Melmond they ether speak a different language or don't exists
Look at everyone i ever talked to on the game already 50 and want to do high level things so wont help me!
So not only do i have no 1 to play with am stuck because i cant buy gear to use and since patch my ARC cant do damage for poo so i cant do anything at all!
All my friends that play the game are level 50 so i cant do what they want cause am not high another and there for i become a downer cause its going take to long for me to level normally
No I wont power level myself and it will take me for ever to level. For other people tho who want to enjoy the game THERE way why not let them!
And if you dont like people PLing then why not go play a offline RPG you can level up all you like and no 1 will take your mobs! lol
People enjoy the game different ways so let them it really dose not hurt you!

>implying playing within the rules of the game is cheating
>implying that having someone kill mobs for you and you get all the reward isn't cowardly and doesn't sound a lot like cheating.

It doesn't. If it were cheating, I'm sure they would have made it be against the rules ages ago (this isn't actually new) but they didn't.

Sorry, but Yoshi-P has said since 1.18 that he doesn't want there to be a long pointless grind so that people can play actual content with friends. These threads need to stop.
It's not broken, it's exactly what the devs intended or else it wouldn't be possible. Mid-level content is there for players who like a slow leveling experience. So that those people don't feel they need to rush to 50.
If being 50 as quick as possible is what everyone would choose to do, then it means that the majority of players feel there is no sense of accomplishment in a slow leveling process, only an annoyance in the delay of actual content. I'd rather see the leveling process stay the way it is so the devs can focus on actual content like the primal battles and more complex raids.
