Disagreed. Kicking players for different play style should be allowed.

And there goes our freedom in playing the game thank you very much.
People tend to completely forget that this is a game that can is done both in solo and in team.
Building yourself FOR others is not what i call Freedom Play.
I completely agree with Demascus but what can we do ? Assholes will still be assholes and kick you because they don't like your class/stuff/style/macros/rp and they don't care. Unfortunately (and trust me i speak with experience) the only way to pass through is just either to leave by yourself (sadic way of letting them in the shit) or finding people that accept you and TIPS you on mastering your style instead of ORDERING you to do it their way. But be careful of not exagerating too. Talking about strategy, some skills are useful where others aren't. It all depend of the situation.

You have the freedom to play with other players who share the same opinions. And there goes our freedom in playing the game thank you very much.

Other players also have the freedom to not play with you, too.
You can form a club of people who enjoy having machinists knocking everything back like a pin ball game all they want.
But people who don't enjoy doing so, they have the right to kick them.

I don't think you read yourself when you write because you sound exactly like "kick first, speak later".You have the freedom to play with other players who share the same opinions.

Where's the respect in that ? You talk about freedom of not playing with people who do that : ok i agree.
But if you have it, wouldn't telling the person "please stop that" and explaining why would be better ?
Don't give me answers like "they should already know" or "they don't listen", in both case you should begin by talking first and then acting on it.
First time i see that screenshot of a GM answer. I am shocked.

Well... in the OP's case, it seems like he's been told by the others that they don't like the knock back ability. It's not like he didn't see the kick coming if he decide to keep doing it.I don't think you read yourself when you write because you sound exactly like "kick first, speak later".

Oh, please tell me why I have to suffer with a SMN who is using Titan and screwing up my aggro tables because he's too lazy to cast Ifrit or Garuda. Or how about a GLD in Aurum Vale that never went to get his PLD quest? Or a BLM that uses nothing but ice? Why should people's freedoms to play efficiently be compromised by someone's freedom to play like an idiot? If the party wants to suffer, that's fine, but if they want to get rid of a player, especially after telling him what he should be doing and him not doing it, that's their freedom as well, and if majority rules... majority rules. I find it funny you mention team, but then criticize someone removing you from the team for not pulling your weight. Think of it as sports. If you aren't doing well, you get cut. You have the freedom to try out, but you certainly don't have the freedom of staying on the team.
I think people's points are that you should be able to choose your rotations; summoning a minion you shouldn't be using, using knock-back in dungeons or not doing your class quests classifies you as mentally incapable, not "doing ya own thang!"Oh, please tell me why I have to suffer with a SMN who is using Titan and screwing up my aggro tables because he's too lazy to cast Ifrit or Garuda. IIRC, a GM said that kicking people for different playstyle are allowed. Someone posted it on this forums.

"Different playstyles" could cover absolutely anything.
If the description means it could also involve being able to kick someone for playing to well as its a "different playstyle" to your own then I find it a problem. I've been kicked for using a knockback and heavy to get a mob off a healer before, people are so uppity about petty stuff in dungeons.
