Vote to kick feature

Not sure if this has been addressed or not, but there needs to be a change in the vote to kick feature... It's annoying to be kicked for playing a job because it's an inconvenience to other players. This feature should only be usable if the person is afk status or offline. It's too open ended and too easy to say harassment, in cases where someone is being rude disrespectful ignore and report <--- new policy meaning get the dungeon over with ignore them and then report it if it truly bothered you. ... There are gonna be some tough people to deal with in this world got to suck it up.. but to kick someone because they are playing their job as it's intended and you don't like it cause it inconveniences you and so you say they are harassing you in order to kick that's not a reason to kick that's misuse... Personally those type of people should be banned for 24 hours but a simple change in the vote to kick would fix a lot of these issues. I have had this numerous times cause players don't like knock back attached to abilities... Guess what TOUGH if it wasn't ment to be used they wouldn't have put it in the game... That's called being a cry baby and you don't want to put extra effort...

If you feel kicked without reason please reoirt ingame...the votekick feature is fine as it is now, i don't know why i should give a reason to kick someone within this four limited options, this should be free text at first and then it's for the other people to agree with me. Vote kick is a party decission either there was a "yes"-voter or you annoyed (lesser form of harrassment) more then one person. And to say it with your own words, if it wasn't ment to be used they wouldn't have put it in the game...

Blizzard tried this and 99.9% of vote kicks the reason stated was: sfdalkjfuheiec
And everyone in the group that got a vote kick, clicks yes without even thinking about what is going on. I remember seeing vote kicks in WoW and not even understanding what was going on. If I don't see the issue, I don't vote yes, but the majority of people just click yes to move along.

well to be fair, there is a way to use that Knock back if it is intentional, meaning you use it to intentionally purposedly do whatever you can to prevent another player from doing his job properly....is kind of well obvious you will be kick, do I agree not necesseraly no, but cant blame them either.

If you have been asked several times to please not do somethign and you keep doing it by that YOU being the stubborn one aka not exactly a team player respectful of others, no Wonder you are being kicked. But equally, if you use WISELY your skills when appropriate or necessary (not just because you can), then I agree with you.

You have to bare in mind that what you do has conséquences, using a Knock back when a DPS/tank whoever is ready to use his skills has set them that way and by that have him do all that for nothing aka a waste I can understand his frustration.

Just because you can doesnt mean you should. I am a WHM; I have fluid Aura, I use it often to protect myself OR protect someone else, or to finish off a mob, but never just because I can and so use it whenever without caring a tid bit of others.

I think the cry baby in this case is you. Vote kick needs remodelling BUT not necesseraly for the reasons you state as, to me, you come out as the guilty one.

That's fine but you should get a perma ban. If I have to walk through the dungeon as a tank/melee because you decided to knock back mobs, that's a waste of my time. If you then come here to the forums or in game chat, and complain about that you got kicked, after saying other people should grow a pair. Yea that would deserve the perm ban game and forum wise.

Knockbacks are an annoyance (if used improperly) not a gamebreaker.

People tend to completely forget that this is a game that can is done both in solo and in team.
Building yourself FOR others is not what i call Freedom Play.

I completely agree with Demascus but what can we do ? Assholes will still be assholes and kick you because they don't like your class/stuff/style/macros/rp and they don't care. Unfortunately (and trust me i speak with experience) the only way to pass through is just either to leave by yourself (sadic way of letting them in the shit) or finding people that accept you and TIPS you on mastering your style instead of ORDERING you to do it their way. But be careful of not exagerating too. Talking about strategy, some skills are useful where others aren't. It all depend of the situation.

You have the freedom to play with other players who share the same opinions.

Other players also have the freedom to not play with you, too.

You can form a club of people who enjoy having machinists knocking everything back like a pin ball game all they want.

But people who don't enjoy doing so, they have the right to kick them.
