Ok then maybe a re-working of the rules isn't needed, what is needed is a rework of the report system. Atm it's too easy to be kicked unjustly (not that it's overly pervasive) and too damn hard/annoying to report when it does happen.

If you kept knocking back enemies before they're about to die, and they asked you to stop and you didn't listen, then that counts as harassment. Unless of course it was to avoid an aoe or something.

I DO NOT support the OP here. The kick feature is exactly how it needs to be. No changes necessary. Ive played this game since the beta, and I can count on one hand how many times ive seen it abused to hurt a truly innocent player who was doing nothing wrong. However, I can make you a long list of times it helped my group rid ourselves of a cancer. The OP sounds like the typical left wing millennial who needs a safe space everywhere he goes. He wants to force people to play with toxic players, with no power to address the situation themselves, in order to address one tiny minority issue that rarely ever happens....No. So you would have people annoyed they have no power to remove a troll, you would increase tickets in the system because of players inability to address issues on their own, all to shelter the OP's sensitivities. Makes perfect sense.


EDIT: So we now learn the OP was kicked for knocking back mobs in every pull. I would have kicked you as well. This is EXACTLY why the kick system needs to stay the same so I can avoid morons like you who simply dont get it, or refuse to even try.

It's not really that easy to abuse the vote kick system. If half of the party agreed to remove someone, most of the time it justifies their decision. Except when the voters are from the same LS/FC or knowing each other on the same server.

If people choose to accept, then they are agreeing one way or another. Their ability (or inability) to reason about whether it's a valid kick or not is ancillary to the fact that they are required to make a choice. In nearly two years of playing, I think I've been kicked from a DF group once, maybe twice, and both times I probably deserved it.

True but that doesn't negate the fact unjust kicks can in fact happen because of it (not the OP but others).

I'm a team player and I've only been kicked 3 times but two of those were unwarrented.

it can, but what you perceive as unjust may well be perfectly justified by others. The state of kick today is, majority rules. So EVEN if you did nothing to deserve a kick you STILL can be kicked just bcause they dont like your glamour or dont like you half naked or you name it. This has been stated several times by GMs in reports that *SE does not mix into players squabbles* and this enters into that section. We all agree at least for most of us that Vote Kick requires an adjustment to avoid jerks to abuse of it like kicking you because a friend has to join, but all in all it boils down to being responsible enough to know when to use it or when not.


I am totally against this feature I want it out of the way...but if only there were harsher sanctions against those that abuse of it, I would already be happy.

In this situation, OP is just a self entitled player that thinks he can do whatever he wants when he wants and the rest has just to shut up, welel as it stands, he got corrected and hopefully may learn from it, although I doubt.

My alt was kicked yesterday in Weeping City after 1st boss. No clue why, no wipe, no verbal issues, just clear out of the blue. Sorry but not wasting my time filing a complaint. I was there with a friend so I'll ask her if there was any discussion after. I know the duty, the mechanics and all. The only thing I can fantom is that the group arrow that spawned on me lead to my death and maybe one other but that wasn't my fault if the parties don't group on the icon. The boss was at 1 percent when that happened and i simply respawned. It was late and i was tired, I simply went to bed.
