Yeah, it is SE's fault. Why SE didn't create an English PvP community that is big enough to sustain real competitive Feast mode: Fixed Party Feast. Now all the hungry wolves have to played in solo que mode with pups.

No, I don't really agree with you. FF14 PvP community will not grow with such toxic attitudes toward new players. Solo que maybe ranked, but it is a mode specifically decided for the players who can not find a fixed party for real competative mode. I do not agree that this solo que mode is specifically design for top players. It is really not.

Most of players that complains about new healers are usually those at bottom of barrel. They are struggling and unleash their anger and frustration on new players. If you really want a competitive environment, organize weekly event for fixed party Feast where you are 100% guaranteed with teammates that are pros It is because you found them yourselves.

The toxicity doesn't derive exclusively from the "top players", new players are equally at fault. Those type of newcomers are the most aggravating players. No one has ever said ranked solo queue is only for "top players". I don't understand why people jump to this conclusion when regarding players that don't know the basics of their own job.

Not all new players are bad, but more often then not we get players who aren't even i150 or know their simple pve rotation. Also, most of the people complaining are the ones that constantly get stuck with multiple of them, Gold players. Solo feast queue would be competitive if the horrid matchmaking actually made "balanced" teams.

You clearly don't know how dead feast fixed party queues are with or without an event.

I am fully aware of dead fixed party match when I said it in my first paragraph. It is pitful. I also said most of complaints are from those at bottom of barrel, not from top players. This is solo queue, your ability to work with random players is also part of pain and game.

The irony I am trying to point out is that we all knew that pvp community is so small that fixed party cannot function, yet there are these players trying to get rid of new players in solo que. They are killing the only viable arena mode and it is not helping.

Also, claiming these new players are just eso gamers is just non sense. You are more effective to farm in the frontline than this. Enjoy the solo que while it last, summer is about to end and students are return to the school.

The thing you have to realize is that you have people with hundreds of games played being matched with first timers. It is not a problem for beginners to queue up in a solo queue ranked mode, because their rank will be appropriate to their skill until they get more experience and climb the ladder. The real problem lies with the fact that unranked players can be matched with players from the top 10 of the leaderboard. These matches will NEVER be fair for either side, and only contribute negatively to both the experience of that new player, as well as the well earned ranking of those top ranked players. No one wins in the current scenario all feast players are faced with.

As it stands, players that are unranked cannot lose points, and will slowly climb their way up to bronze (200 ranking, you cannot go lower than this after achieving it, even by losing). Players that have yet to reach this small milestone should never be faced against players that will wipe the floor with them. That is a fact, and you can call people elitist or whatever you like, but at the end of the day, grouping players from every walk of life in one game helps no one. It won't help people learn, and it won't help those players who have invested days and weeks of climbing the leaderboard achieve their goals. There is nothing to learn when you walk into your first feast match and get one shot by a Machinist. It takes a lot of practice to understand what even happened, and how you can counter it. The primary issue is matchmaking, not the fact that new players would like to get their feet wet and try a new game mode.

I am the leader of a Free Company that has a large population of very highly ranked pvpers on the Aether Data Center, and we love to see other members of our FC start to play the feast. Those new players keep the game mode alive longer, and keep it fresh from seeing the same faces over and over every season. Players without that support though are just thrown into the pit with people twice their size (figuratively speaking) and will get nothing but discouraged by experienced players who are frustrated to have waited up to 30 minutes in queue just to instantly lose because they happened to get matched with someone who has never played before. Unranked players should be priorized into their own grouping, much like those that are Gold Ranked and above are suppose to (although this does not work at all). That way they would see matches with people of similar experience to at least get them started. The feast solo queuing system right now is completely broken, and frustrating for all players, not just the bottom or the top of the leaderboard.
