Never understood why people wants to PAY more for glamour when they're already paying a sub.

I am guessing, because they think that if Square Enix is going to get more money, they are more likely (this works alot in other mmorpgs) to put those items in the cash shop. Then there is the other group of players who do not want to earn items ingame and just want to get it fast and with no effort.

Almost everything (aside from Fantasia) could have been a ingame thing, but SE got alot of profits (I remember Yoshida saying that the income from the cash shop, paid for the EU servers) of them. SE knows there is a demand and they will supply it. I wish there was no cash shop, but the mmorpg genre has changed and I fear we are not going back.

I'd like Terra's tunic and Rydia's leotard.

Normally I hate cash-shop whoring but I can't see those two being added any other way. Veteran rewards maybe, but SE usually makes those unisex- so as to avoid whinging from male characters, while remaining lazy enough to only design one outfit per tier.

The way I did that (i'm not posting the method here) doesn't work on male charicters only females (kinda sucks for me (main))
