Not really perceived as such in this forum but over on reddit yes Aether is perceived to be the more competitive, serious, and active NA data center, even though the rankings in feast are not reflecting this atm.

This is because a large sample of the better PVPers do not participate in Solo Queue, since it is absolute cancer. Very few RUM members ever stepped foot in there, same with RareX. Also, top 10 Aether Solo Q ladder is littered with a small handful of win boosters, which I know turned off even more people from participating.

Out of curiosity, how is win boosting done in a game-mode where the teams are random and party queuing is impossible? (I'm asking honestly)

Are you sure the top 10 has boosters? Pretty sure they all played a lot and won more than the rest.
