But now they copying all the hand-holding crap that a lot of people don't want.

What you are suggesting would be similar to making tekken 7 play like street fighter, then telling all the pissed off fans to go play tekken 5. Pretty rediculous if you ask me.

EDIT: I think for my opinion. This game will prob need more stuff at max level than just 1 relevant raid and roulletttes if it wants to keep people playing. If they can't come up with something that is fun, then at least throw in stuff from ff11? We will see how palace of the dead goes, but if it's only 3 hours long i fear people might grow bored of it fairly quickly.
    This. Well put.

To Velhart and others who would follow the Devs straight off a cliff if they told you to jump:

I asked this question many pages back. Who's going to buy this game 1,2, or 5 years from now (including original arr plus all of the expansions), when 99% of battle content and gear is irrelevant? Mmos need subscriptions and new players as well.

The game needs a shift in a better direction and people use ffxi as a reference because it had great content and gear progression. Now I play this game, there's a lot to like. Better content like ffxi has, would increase longevity and create a better community. The current formula used here reminds me a lot like dcuo a free to play game with a cash shop. The FF franchise doesn't need it, nor do fans want it
