New Class Speculations

If we look at the proportions of the classes, and what SE has done up til now and where the story will lead to, we can predict a little.

3 tanks, 3 healers and 7 dps

I'd start with the tanks or healers.

Then next step, what has SE already done? The samurai is already done to be implemented. A visitor from doma could just clear that, since we have connections for this possibility.

What could be a healer then? The surgeon could be a completely new healer class, with syringes crafted by perhaps a cooperation of the Chemist guild master and the garlond metal works.

A DPS should be red mage from ala mhigo or a traveling swashbuckler or a new class guild for the ishgardian nobility, since they want to share their knowledge now or something.

Red Mage's origins is going to be a bit difficult currently to identity as not many places in Eorzea looks like it would match the Job's origin's yet.

Ala mhigo is already established as the origin place of the Monks and the Monk Orders had a large influence within Ala Mhigo society serving as the Royal Guards of Ala Mhigo and as a Powerful Organization before the Garlean Empire took over Ala Mhigo and nearly wiped out the Monk Orders.

For Example, a lot of people thought the origin for Astologian's Magic would have been Ishgard due to how players meet Astro NPC from ishgard before 3.0 but instead the origin of Astro's Magic is Sharlayan and the Astro knowledge in Ishgard is only just stargazing to predict movement of the Dragon Horde. It was not until Astro Magic was introduced to Ishgard in the Astro job Storyline when Ishgard became aware that Astro Magic existed.

There's plenty of available options for a RDM origin. They can be tied to Ala Mhigo as combining spells with melee combat is fitting for them. The visual style of RDM fits right at home with something hailing from Sharlayan as well. It also doesn't rule out the potential from them coming from Thavnair either, as we've encountered many scholars from there as well.

I had an interesting idea about them being like wirch hunters that arose after the flood calamity between mhach amdapor and nym, with that witch/vampire hunter looking motif. To me it does look a bit sharlayan, or a cross between gridania and coerthas, i dont know much about gyr abania, but its directly east sandwiched between both, idk how the culture/attire there would be but it could definately be inspired by being close to both,
