    I doubt something like this would come around in 4.0 but I would like to see an adjustment to the job system where you choose based on your preference what path you'll take. For example, if you play Marauder you would be given the choice to take the Warrior (tank) path or the Berserker's (DPS) path. They could apply similar choices to each job to allow for a much wider variety of job options without needing to actually add new jobs. Just something I would like to see added down the road.

    I like helping people with their Job ideas, it's fun to help them visuallize and create the job they'd like to play most. Plus I make my own too, I'll post them eventually.

    Well in tactics they used knives, or guns, medic in a garlean setting could be a cool spin on it, even thouhg the medicus's use cure 1 aooarentla (but who is to say that cnj couldnt be cross class if there was a chemist class) in the dungeons we fight them in.
    Consumables arent necessary, just have a 'mix' function that could act like reload except allows you to 'make an item and use it'
    aka an 'ability' that heals, cleanses, regains tp/mp or buffs.
    Also maybe give chemist a passive trait that DOES allow them to use phoenix downs in combat, halve item cd times or up the potency of them if used on a party member? I mean ninja gets a higher movement trait and one that reduces fall damage, so traits dont have to be related to skills at ally

    They already stated they aren't doing something like that after they didn't like how the way SCH and SMN worked turned out.

    I still would like to say I could see DNC as a healer focus more on sustained healing over time and effects but perhaps still being allowed to attack up close. Honestly I just want some changes to the system more than we have now. Healer can be boring at time for me cus your not really in the action, your behind the lines. Surely we can somehow work a melee range healer. It would at least be different and the healing could be a direct correlation to their MP when performing somewhat like bard songs. So a good DNC would know when to play certain dances (let them be like Stances- perhaps even change the idle animation in relation?) Perhaps not as strong healing up front but the constant HoT they provide could be enough to help off-set it.

    That is how I kinda vision it, just gotta get hit by the enemies skill a few times. Of course you always have that 1 NPC who tags along for healing. Gotta take a big whiff of a marlboro's bad breath to learn it. Guess if they wanted to go further some skills that would be learned normally (outside of quests) say at level 4, instead of learning the skill you get a tip box that informs you a new skill is ready to be learned from X mob. Just have to go find the mob, engage and just play the waiting game. Before anyone says that is to much work, honestly most mobs will use their skill on you within like 10 secs of the fight and being in the general job area to start I'd assume you'll have seen them multiple times. Plus I know this is not 11, but I assume the task was MUCH harder but I never played BLU there.

    If we look at the proportions of the classes, and what SE has done up til now and where the story will lead to, we can predict a little.

    3 tanks, 3 healers and 7 dps

    I'd start with the tanks or healers.

    Then next step, what has SE already done? The samurai is already done to be implemented. A visitor from doma could just clear that, since we have connections for this possibility.

    What could be a healer then? The surgeon could be a completely new healer class, with syringes crafted by perhaps a cooperation of the Chemist guild master and the garlond metal works.

    A DPS should be red mage from ala mhigo or a traveling swashbuckler or a new class guild for the ishgardian nobility, since they want to share their knowledge now or something.

    Late to the discussion, but excited at the prospects of Samurai, Red Mage, and/or Blue Mage being added. Any idea if previous classes from other games, such as Holy Knight from FFT would be considered?
