FFXIV 2nd expansion: Viera-like race still a possibility?

Honestly? I think the Vierra would be a complete waste. I thought the Au Ra were already awfully similar to the existing races, and the Vierra offer even less visual disparity.

FFXIV needs something with an entirely different silhouette. Something truly beastly, or another small race (I'm personally biased towards a larger beast race, but something along the lines of Moogles could also work).

Please, for the love of God, though... no Vierra.

And for the people asking for something completly different it will probably never happen they will only do humanoid appearances because then they wont have to remodle armors

Just kidding. But, it gets me thinking, has any mmo yet offered a player race that wasn't two-armed fully erect bipeds? Playing around more with the morphology of playable races might be more work for armor designers, but it's an interesting though. Imagine playing as a quadrepedal race for example, or as a lamia/merrow race with a tail instead of legs.

To be fair, Au Ra "introduced" more than what a Viera can. Horns are different, "scales" are new and them eye loop things they can have. All Viera would have is the bunny ears (and as I've mentioned somewhere in here, they will either clip through headgear OR have ear socks. Neither option being good), since their feet and hands will be remodelled to fit gear.

Well it would be the same with the miqote where lots of helmets would have holes cut for the ears. Or if not bunny ears would be long enough to go through anything. And there are more than one type of rabbit. There are the long eared ones there are little bitty eared ones and droopy eared ones that hang by their cheeks

Anyways with all that said I am pretty sure we k ow what we are getting next. Hilda. No effort from SE they love that so we will get humans with elf ears. Dont get me wrong I like the idea but want something more. Even a much more rabbit version of viera or ff9s Freya. Also would love to see blitzball added. We need something to do for all of us that dont want to raid all the time.

All races are humanoid, not wanting Vieras because of that is a form of virtual racism
