Everything in life eventually becomes a chore if do it enough times. Try eating your favorite meal/snack every day for an entire year for example, you will get sick and tired of having it all the time. Every game you ever play if play it enough times and play it daily will become boring and tedious. We are people and not robots, we have limited levels of patience and anything fun if repeated enough times will become a chore. You favorite shirt or dress, wear it every day for a long enough period and you will get sick and tired of that too as another example. You might have a favorite dungeon in game but if run it 10,000 times or run it 100 times a day every single day you will likely become sick to death of it.

That's the same for everyone, all SE can do is keep adding new content and new things to keep people interested but there is no single one thing SE can add that will be fun forever, for everyone and never becoming a chore. Give SE ideas for that new content but be under no illusion that eventually people will get tired of whatever idea you come up with. They will want more ideas for newer things to get stuck into and begin enjoying after bored of the previous thing because they have done it so much and gained everything they wanted from it. That is the gist of what I was saying earlier in response to you asking for something that won't become a task/chore. Anything come up with might be fun for a while but it will become a task or chore eventually if done/played enough times.

I dunno..I have to disagree with this. Let me start off by saying, I DO agree that this game feels like a chore and everything being on timers with caps is awful. Timer is one thing...ok that is fine, but a cap on how many times you can do something? This feels awfully familiar...oh yeah, the fatigue system in 1.0. -_-

But anyway, I disagree with well..I've had my favorite shirt for six years now and I still wear it all the time and love it. I've bleached my hair blonde since I was a child and still do it..am not sick of my long, blonde hair haha. I've been with my boyfriend for six years and every day feels like the day we met. The game though...yes doing the same thing over and over and over gets very tiring. I think though the problem is much more then just repeating the same thing...it is that it feels very shallow. There is no depth. 1.23 had so much more depth, we had interest stats, a very original and unique battle system...we just were lacking content. Oh well, soon enough and I imagine I will join those who quit and never came back... I have been here since 2010 alpha also lol.

Man..I also hate how we have to edit our post to bypass this 1000 characters garbage...such a useless feature with an annoying way to get around it. -_-

That's a bit of a stretch mainly due to you always winning something back, even if you get less than what you paid for (the only time you get nada is if you forget to claim your winnings). If you could place a bet and risk losing it all, that'd be more like gambling there.

It's not a stretch at all, especially in the case of mini cacpot. It's a very forgiving form of gambling, but by definition you are staking currency to get higher currency rewards via chance.

Isn't china also the version that can't have bones showing or of the sort? Thus no skeleton mobs? If so, I mean the version is already different enough then (and seeing as no gold saucer anyway) could easily add in some simple card games. Its virtual currency used for glamour, not staking real cash. Unless they are worried some people may get too good at it and actually have fun and earn the rewards faster?

Except there is and they took out the majority of the casino elements originally intended just so China could have it. They may not have jumbo cactpot but they have everything else.

ETA Australia has limitations on digital gambling too so if they ever make the GS more casino-y, then they will risk cutting off Aussies.

The biggest reason most other countries limit or censor gambling is because they realize that gambling addiction is a real thing.
