im a viera fan, hell id settle for a bunny ears n no tail option on miqote n call it a day. Problem solved. They didn't put much work into how the ears poke thru hats n headgear anyhow. People keep saying Adding Viera would bring nothing new to the game, outside of a new currency grind for gear, name something truly new and unique they have added in recent months. Not much. Just more humdrum crap to grind over time to drag out subtime. might as well start throwing out treats to ppl. ppl been demanding more customization options. if they gave me bunny style ears that I could swap out on a miqote, id smile, enjoy my bullcrap viera wannabe n call it a day. Especially if it came in a expanded faces n hairstyles patch. I'd like to see a mountain of new customization n glamours get added before they add another lore equvilent, and humdrum dungeons to grind endlessly.

Edit: n before someone says MGP Bunny ears, no, not some tiara cloth lookin bs, I want bunny ears. Ears, not some cheap cloth n chinsy tiara, that cant go with glasses or headgear.

Somewhere, possibly on GameFAQs or Reddit, I made a suggestion where a third clan for Miqo'te could have them with longer ears (re-designed to look similar to rabbit ears, perhaps?) and a shorter tail. It's not a Viera, but it's something different to the other two clans of Miqo'te.

*slaps you with a trout because reasons* But yep, really for a viera wannabe or sub-clan of miqote to make viera fans slightly happy, all they gotta do is crop the tail off, and reangle the miqote ears n extend them. Half the head gear looks like crap on miqote as is. so having goofy viera ears poking thru head gear wont be anything new. But maybe im a rare sorta viera fan that's willing to have none vera feet, and just use claws of the beast to have my viera hands n take wat little concession they gave n be happy XD

This argument that they would be a copy of the Miqos is in my opinion bull-poop. Because the Miqo'tes have no uniqueness to them, they are Hyurs with cat ears and a tail, there is no other difference. They do not look different and they barely stand out in comparison. If these races are already taking from XI and the races back then, then the Viera should easily be able to fit in. A lot of lore is already based on XII so the grounds that they don't fit in falls flat in my mind. Especially since the Mithras in XI actually looked like cats, they had fur they had different facial structures and the ears and tails and body type. They weren't a Hyur copypaste, in XIV they are one. While Au Ra is unique it's just more oriental in nature a version of the Miqos, Vieras could be put in and mesh well.

My reasons for being extremely unhappy with au ra are very sound. Id really like a new race to not follow the Au ra's footsteps which is why Im furiously against viera.

It's just your opinion they dropped the ball. Doesn't make it fact. I am pretty sure SE doesn't see it that way since Au Ra became quite popular. So even tho you are extremely unhappy with Au Ra the majority of the community had the opposite opinion of you. All you have to do is look in-game to see this or notice the show your au ra thread is double or so the posts compared to the Lalafell, and Hyur threads of the same concept.

I'd actually prefer a wolf type race first instead of Viera. I also see many people want Viera though so I respect that what I personally want might be a minority. SE is going to go with whatever they want to add or what they think is more profitable. They also may evaluate the community to find out what the majority wants to see added. In the end there is always going to be a part of the community that is going to be unhappy no matter what they choose to add to their game.

I remember that too, all I got in the end was a flavor of the month hyur with a bit of a skin rash, there's stranger creatures in the world there's even beastmen in limsa buying things but a petite human with horns will cause a riot like in Frakenstien with towns people yelling monster? good grief. I don't even really know why I chose miqote either, hyur cosplaying a cat girl

A lot of people said that before Au Ra was launched because they "like Miqo/Hyur/Roe/Lala/Elezen so much to ever change", and yet the mount of people that changed for good is really high. There's no way to actually know until it's in game, I think. Based on concept art I thought I would be an AuRa lightspeed but the final product didn't appeal to me that much. On the other hand there's people that hated the concepts and the leaked promo pictures but loved the characters in-game when benchmark was released.
