They dropped the ball with au ra really really really hard which is why viera getting added would make it even worse because it would be an even bigger crime than au ra.

Despite your opinion they dropped the ball with Au Ra...there seems to be a lot of people happy with Au Ra since I see them everywhere in-game. Even this long after they added it and playing the content a lot I see Au Ra almost as often as Miqote. So I am not sure how many share your opinion that they screwed up by adding Au Ra...just my observation it seems like your opinion is minority.

Anyway mostly I just feel people are using SE's flawed logic as a point for their argument that it will never happen like saying "they'll never add it cause they said they don't want a race that is similar to Miqote" even though after this they went and added Au Ra. So SE obviously doesn't really follow their own reasoning.

If they aren't even following their own reasoning they might still add Viera anyway even if some people won't like it. I mean I personally don't like the Roe race, but I wouldn't ask for it to be removed just because I don't like it. That would be silly...so I don't agree with you that they dropped the ball with Au Ra at all. I see tons of people playing Au Ra characters; that seems like a success to me.

As much as I love the race, XIV will not do them any justice. SE is not gonna recreate feet armor just for them. Viera without heels is a fraud. I rather it be a completely new race then to see the Viera suffer with a very limiting game.

They dropped the ball exceedingly hard in terms of delivery since they hyped up the race very very seriously with the no skin showing outfit for yugiri and the "I hide my features because the Eorzean people will get triggered worse than tumblr" making us think its some truly different and feature rich race.

And then we get the Au ra which turns out to be hyur with horns, tail, special eyes and scale patches that follows the tired old giant males and tiny cute females religiously.

My reasons for being extremely unhappy with au ra are very sound. Id really like a new race to not follow the Au ra's footsteps which is why Im furiously against viera.

First People complain that they don't like Viera, thats fine.
Then they complain that they are like Miqo'tes but with bunny ears... that is wrong, go play FFXII and see the diference.
Then they complain that FFXIV wouldn't do Viera justice... okay... i am going to ask you to stop there...

First 5 races, no one complained and Lalafels and Miqo'tes dominated. Au Ra implemented, some people complained and after accepted, and now is popular because of Yugiri preview in the story. If SE does like they did with Yugiri, preview Viera's perfect into the story, it will be the same thing as Au Ra, complains at first but then its accepted and popular.
And for those that want Beast races... SE would have to make COMPLETE SETS of armor for them instead of just feet, so stop it... Not to mention SE already has half work done with Viera since they have designs for it, so if they decide to add, good, if not, fine.

But don't start with bullshit that adding Viera would ruin them!

Removing characteristic features of the race in order to accommodate existing and future gear sets would indeed 'ruin' them in the eyes of people, because then they wouldn't truly be Viera but a poor man's version.

Also, just imagine how awful their ears will look in headgear. Clip worse than tails.

Anyway, to people saying "aren't Au Ra just Miqo'te with scales" or whatever... you're mostly just looking at the females (the males actually have unique options for their faces and look nothing like Miqo'te) and ignoring what Au Ra have over what Viera's will have taken away.

Au ra: Tails, horns, eye-loops and skin conditionscales.
Viera: Interesting feet (remade), interesting hands (remade) and rabbit ears. Feet and hands will be remade to fit gear, leaving them with their rabbit ears (purchasable with MGP), which will clip through head gear, like tails.

Viera would add nothing new to this game.

Note, I'm still not a fan of Au Ra's, but I see what, even if barely, new things they came with.

It just seems like it would be too much of an undertaking to design the race to accommodate the vast number of Armor designs, head, body, hands, pants, feet, etc.

Well they probably could come up with a working model...but not one that would please the fans of the Viera race, they would surely complain about one thing or another...guaranteed.
