    Normally I'd jsut start playing that character I have now, but that doesnt seem to be an option since shes level 50, and i have no idea how to play anymore, would make it really hard

    Why is that not a option? Go play around in the field with mobs their or some fates there nothing a throw away character that you can't relearn on your already made character. Otherwise there next to no chance of you getting on balmung as is locked 99% of the time.
