I only want to see a change to the stupid gauss barrel animation, stupid little gun dance, it should look more like slug shot, just pointing the gun and having it glow like it's charging up then do the weaponskill animation.

So... Ninjas with guns?

Duel-wielding guns is highly overrated. Single gun, stay classy.
Split shot and Slug Shot need their animations reworked, specifically the position of our character's left arm, seriously, look at the mch's left arms during those two shots, they look so awkward and misplaced. I notice little things like that and it really bothers me. Besides that, I'd like to see more gadgets/bombs/explosions included in the mch's main rotation, a proc that makes grenado shot really high potency with no TP cost for example, a more flashy effect on wildfire so that it looks like a bomb or an explosion, make rend mind an emp grenade, a second gun for spread shot, etc.

In fact the job is called "Machinist" and not "Gunslinger". Thats why we shouldnt expect to see any fancy acrobatics or stylish gunplay. Dont get me wrong. I love to see some stylish gunplay like in Equilibrium or Devil May Cry. But you have 2 major problems:
1. Its Final Fantasy XIV. It would look a bit ridiculous if you would jump, spin and do some fancy moves while aim and shot at enemies at the same time. Especially from a larger distance, it would make no sense. Its quite impossible to hit a target (even as big as Sephirot) when you perform your actions like a wild squirrel. It wouldnt match the overall appearance of the Machinist, too.
2. Its Machinist. The Machinist wields a rifle and can place turrets. This job acts as a physical range DPS. The Machinist is someone who can change some parts of his/her rifle and do some stuff with his turret. He is more like a mechanic.
If you want something like a real Gunslinger, you have to change this class to a physical melee DPS with a pair of smaller guns, but without any turrets. Like a Monk with some pistols (which would be great, to be honest : D )
The Machinist is ok how it is.

That character has super human strength and agility though... Even if our characters suddenly had also the same abilities, like, what are we going to jump off and on to? Is there really any reason to do backflips while shooting a gun? It looks really awesome however but also would interfere with our aiming. Shooting in MMOs is more swat team than john woo movie. But hey, I'd totally play the hell out of a game that had a style like that though.
It would be really cool if there was something along those lines in some kind of multiplayer game. If you like crazy shooting like that, you should watch the movie Equilibrium.
As someone that played the 1.0 version of this game though... I feel obligated to point out that we are lucky we can jump now (In 1.0 you had no ability to jump).

I only want they remove the gauss barrel... Any small gun like i180 pvp weapon doesn't fit with gauss barrel attached... And it makes me always using i205 pvp gun as glamour...

When I first heard of machinist coming to XIV I was expecting Edgar and his tools, didn't know it was based on Final Fantasy Tactics.

I think every machinist should be like Lady from DMC4
