That isn't exactly true, and a bit too general of a statement. Raid instances like most of Alexander where there is mainly magic damage, DRK will actually end up taking less damage and ultimately be easier to heal the heaviest tank busters. PLD shield cannot block magic.

DRK has have a PLD "Sentinel" equivalent that is just for magic available every 60s in DA+Dark Mind. PLD can only negate flat 30% damage every 180s. But on the opposite token where the instance is more physical, PLD has passive block capability with shield, whereas DRK has to rely on their basic cooldowns.

It doesn't invalidate your reasoning at all, but Sentinel is 40%.
