Yeah, never been a fan of dailies/weeklies. Reeks too much of Zynga. I'm not in any rush to get any classes to 60, thank you very much.I was sick of tomes in 2.0 now I loathe them in 3.0
The frustration lies within the difficulty range between running expert for 230 gear, or savage for 240 gear. Feel like falling asleep while you play? Great! You can just get lore gear. Feel like throwing your PC out a window after wiping 2 billion times? Go savage! Wait, you wanted something both fun and challenging, but not tuned to the difficulties of hell? Well, umm, go find another game.
As a side note, the only reason I am playing atm is Savage - and A6S.. ugh.. it is not doing a great job of keeping me wanting to play.
I believe I have posted this numerous times before, but I'd rather have a vertical progression system that mirrors difficulty / ilvl range. Where in a tier, the easiest stuff is the lowest ilvl and as you do harder content better ilvl stuff drops. For whatever reason, Sephirot is 220 and Lore weap and relic is 230. The hardest, by far imo, of the 3, is 10 ilvls less. Makes sense.

Less actually. 75 Lore from the roulette, times six = 450 tomes. Capped in six days. Even less if you count other sources like beast tribes (15 a day) or Void Ark/Alexander runs.
Sephirot weapons were also available 7 weeks before the i230 Lore weapon and the i230 Relic weapon. Those 7 weeks of having that weapon gave people an advantage over those who could not clear Sephirot EX. Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but you can bypass the 7 week wait in lieu of a 2.25 week wait if you clear A6S as the High-capacity Tomestone drops there as well. So yea, it does make sense that doing harder content is providing you with stronger items in a shorter time frame than those who are not doing harder content. This is to, you know, assist you in clearing that harder content to obtain even stronger equipment.
Yes, it made sense then, it doesn't make sense now.Sephirot weapons were also available 7 weeks before the i230 Lore weapon and the i230 Relic weapon. How about we make hunts tie into gear like Lore gear not just upgrading, but also doing it the way Alexander's loot system is where you can trade a certain item for gear. At this point people like myself have more then 1 or 2 classes they have to upgrade, so an alternative outside of weekly's can be really helpful.
The tome grind isn't that bad really i've just had no motivation to play the game with my FC and my static group taking a break I could cap lore tomes and try and do savage but then I don't have the group that I had 2 weeks ago. I'd rather play with friends and when no ones interested it kills my reason to play, I tried PvP, gearing out another toon, just anything really and it's not the tome grind that stops me.
Once Palace of the Dead comes out and gives good lore/items i'll probably play again as that's when my friends are coming back let's just hope it doesn't flop like Diadem did and is actually relevant and another way to progress instead of this cap tomes every week at a fixed amount and it never changes. That's what people are yearning for a new way to enjoy the game while progressing their character to new heights while loving the game they loved since 2.0.
Not about time. And there aren't many other sources of lore to mix it up with. I love frontline, but I'm lucky if I get more than a match a day. Sometimes not even that.
One per day, 6 per week, multiplied by how many weeks you've been doing it. Yes, it's over and over ad nauseam. It's to the point of getting sick of doing it.
