What does the zombies say to each other after they do a duty

    TOOOMMMEESsssss!!!!

Nah serious i would rather collect parts off bosses to get gear but with a low drop rate which i can take to rowena which her servants will make me gear items of my choice and stats on them

This way i can look unique and have my own prefured stats on my own gear cause cmon glamour is end game u know need to look swauve and cool

Just attach diedam to rowena where u kill rare spawns for parts which then u pick an armor style base on the materials u got

I got tones of ideas but meh someone will complain about them

I even cap it in 2 days by expert and seal rock.

And right now I don't interested with midas. It's boring.

I don't see the big deal about tomes to be honest.
To me they're a means to be rewarded by undertaking lots of different content. I'd rather do a bit of everything I feel like each week to progress than be forced to farm for specific drops.

However I am the type of person that doesn't worry about capping every week. For example I only do Expert if I have a friend that feels like going so that probably helps me avoid burnout.

Personally I worry less about caps when I log in and more what I feel like doing that day. Ill go out gathering to work on a piece of crafted gear or maybe run some midas. I've been doing a bit of CT lately because of the anima weapon and for nostalgia which as also got me working on gathering Orchestron scrolls. I've been working on my anima over time. Im not too concerned over the potency of the weapon or my gear as I don't raid so as long as its good enough for everything else it's fine. I just think the WHM Anima looks fantastic. I even did a bit of chocobo racing lately.

Only thing I think anyone can suggest is don't worry too much on caps. If your gear is good enough you really don't have much point in caping unless you want the gear for another reason. Go doing what you enjoy, particularly if you have a few friends to run it with. Even running an expert roulette while chewing the fat with some friends can be pretty enjoyable.

I'm really not sure what else can be offered up.

I think I'd be happier with the tome system if there were more varied rewards to purchase such as mounts, gimmick items and pets with each new tome tier.

I mean, what else are we supposed to tell you? It sounds like you're making yourself miserable doing something you don't enjoy. "Maybe you should take a break" doesn't mean the same thing as "quit." It means "hey, you could concentrate on something in your leisure time till there's some new content you want to try out." It's not ideal, but it's also not a bad solution if you're that burnt out on the game. Subs ebb and flow and honestly, a few people taking a break here and there aren't going to break the subscriber base or kill the game because new patches always bring people back. I know a few of my FC mates have been playing LoL together the past few nights for lack of anything they'd rather be doing ingame; it kind of tends to get that way toward the end of patch cycles and I've been considering picking up the game to play with them. Sometimes I'll pick up a game on Steam and dink with that for a few days when I get to the point where I don't know what to do on FFXIV. There's nothing wrong at all with taking a break from the game if it's gotten to the point where you dislike logging in as much as your OP implies that you do.

Pretty much exactly this. When I see threads like this, I feel like people are being overly melodramatic because "the grind" doesn't have to be as boring as a lot of people make it out to be. "There's only 2 dungeons in expert roulette!" okay well there's like 5 roulettes you can run that give you Lore. If you're up early enough, you can get in a few roulettes from Monday before the daily reset on Tuesday and get yourself ahead of the game. You get 10 Lore for achieving some simple objectives in Diadem and Seal Rock gives lore (though the queues really suck for that tbh). If you save your Vath dailies from Monday, there's 30 lore toward your weekly cap on Tuesday. There's so damn many different ways to get the weekly tomes that it barely registers as a grind to me.

For me, it's more about what I feel like doing in any given day, though I admittedly do look forward to reset day. My FC gets together and does Midas Normal in a premade until we all have the drops we want, which is a huge chunk of tomes right there. We also try to run through Void Ark, LotA, ST, and WoD in a full premade. Roulettes throughout the week are generally run with 1-3 friends/FC mates as well. Everything's more fun when you run it with friends. We bird farm, we song farm, we help FC mates that don't have clears on things to get them, we generally just stick together like glue and it tends to make things a lot more fun.

However I am the type of person that doesn't worry about capping every week. For example I only do Expert if I have a friend that feels like going so that probably helps me avoid burnout.
I've only had to do last minute roulettes to meet cap once or twice since HW release. Capping is just that easy to me.

Every time I see these threads almost the same things you mentioned pop into my head. My guess is that many people who feel this way are also those who are in small or dead FCs where everyone does things on their own. My FC is pretty small itself, but many of us have been playing together since FFXI launch and others have joined us on the way. This in itself is what makes playing the game fun for me even when I really have nothing to do in the game on some days. Due to work and being on the west coast on a primarily east coast server, I haven't had luck finding a static (FC is mostly EST so they start raiding while I'm still at work T.T) to dip into savage content.

I also noticed a trend in people who start threads like this, they typically dislike Savage and EX Primals yet feel the need to have tome gear. They also then continue to complain that the current expert dungeons are too easy and are lame because they drop gear that is way below tome gear. For that group of people, I really wish I could make them see that they do not need tome gear nor is it designed for them. It's there to assist players in gearing up for Savage and EX Primal runs.

My favorites though, are the people who complain that they are forced to run DREX to get tome gear and hate every alternative there is to obtaining lore and DREX itself. I think I maybe run that once or twice a week and still manage to cap lore without even trying. Also, the people who feel that the only game they are allowed to play is FFXIV and then complain about burn out because they play it 40 hours a week.

Same here...I never EVER had that issue when playing FFXI lol. I don't like how "Take a break" is an acceptable response. Imagine if more and more people took breaks...most of them do not come back, and well...yeah, we all know how that ends up.

    Instead of fix the game and make it more engaging and fun, just take a break..possibly quit, one less sub ! I saw in the lucky bancho sp? survery it looks like at least 100k subs were lost...but then again what do I know ; ;

What if those FC and LS's are dead because of the state of the game though?

Well my question is, what makes you still want to play if they'd have to change it to make it fun?
