Yeah I mean, who would want to NOT farm the same thing over and over until you get everything in a week and then be bored?

It's a great plan if you enjoy being bored and not playing the game OR if you're bad at the game OR if you have ADHD and a 24 hour cooldown is a "timesink" for you.

I love this "no one does that" and "I don't get to play the game much so when I play I want to play". What does that even mean?

It means you're bad and you want SE to give you whatever you want without trying. They might as well just set up an NPC in Ul'dah that gives everyone glowing weapons because in a month that is all Ifrit is going to be.
