You can never replace Ysayle and Haurchefant. The latter isn't even like Aymeric at all, they're just both Ishgardians who have showed some affection to the WoL...
BLASPHEMYharchefant was a bland character imo and honestly i had no friggin clue who he was when he died as literally he was just "another elezen that helps us on our journey" the only reason i know his name now is because of all the people mourning this dude for some reason lol, hes easily replacable to me, just give us some generic elezen and we are good to go.
Except Shiva was basically a powerful being being controlled by someone else. Considering that the WOL and the Scions don't want to be summoning primals, I wouldn't expect Shiva to return, but perhaps Ysayle herself will appear again in some way that doesn't involve primals. My guess is that either Ysayle, or her spirit, or Ysayle as Shiva, will play a major part for when we end up dealing with or saving Einstein.
If I remember the lecture correctly, primals don't die, but rather stay in Aether Land until they are summoned again. Assuming Shiva is similar, I really wouldn't be surprised if Ysayle/Shiva does make an appearance somewhere in the future.
Vidofnir becomes the new bridge between dragons and Ishgardians. In essence, she has replaced Lady iceheart.
Still think Moenbryda is the only one that kicked the bucket that actually got shit done and a damn shame too. Furthermore I dislike pointless deaths. Ysayle and Haurchefant didn't deserve that yet they will backpedal no problem with the loli Sultana. Disconcerting. Kinda why I take very little of that seriously.
I think one draw of Greystone was they literally used him as their reasoning why PLD can't block magic. Insult to injury IMO.
You clearly never watched cutscenes or paid attention to quest text.harchefant was a bland character imo and honestly i had no friggin clue who he was when he died as literally he was just "another elezen that helps us on our journey" the only reason i know his name now is because of all the people mourning this dude for some reason lol, hes easily replacable to me, just give us some generic elezen and we are good to go.
Haurchefant has been there since 2.0 leveling, ever since level 30, and showed up countless times throughout the leveling and level 50 plot (as well as being the only reason house fortemps took us in when we went to foundation), and had a cute personality as well as quite a bit of depth. If you don't know who is, then that reeks of you skipping the majority of cutscenes and not paying attention at all.

I remember one quest where we talked to an ishgardian in coerthas as part of a mission, but it was easily forgettable as he didn't really stand out from the other characters around the WoL until Heavensward (imo). Not to mention how freakishly huge the lore is in this game that makes me forget little meetings, and for some people I happen to take part in every sidequest to see what I can find that's new differentiating from the dungeon spamming. Like the Malkot family. Love em. The hunter quests in Dravania, poor chocobos X(. Not much I can name because most after that they all threw cliche's and bland commentary at you that just makes you go " uuuhhhhhhh" and its generally uninteresting unless you like every bit of information that wouldn't benefit you.You clearly never watched cutscenes or paid attention to quest text.

I love fun stories. Harry, he was no fun to me, it just seemed like i was pushed to do more work for being in his presence just to "survive" even though I'm the WoL, a**kicker of Odin and gods alike. That's just me though. Your all entitled to your opinions and such. Some just don't like Harry or think much of Aymeric.....or Ysale *twitch*. X)

read the above quote that is directed at you as it will be more or less my response as well, he was a minor character that was rather forgettable,i dont really remember characters that have a minor plot point or that i just dont care about.honestly the saddest thing about his death to me was that he died for literaly no reason, my plot armor wouldhave protected me had he not been there at all, he shouldnt have died protecting me he sould have died fighting or something.i get they wanted to make it emotional, but this is something they should have done with a character that has a little more relevance to the overall story, such as a scion or perhaps even shiva

> He helps you fight the Dravanian knights
> He has supplies sent to Revenant's Toll
> He gives you a place to stay when you become a fugitive and persuades his family to take you in
> He saves you from the Vanu Vanu
> He helps you against Charibert
> He literally saves your life
???
His whole raison d'etre and reason for becoming a knight was to protect and help those in need. Not only did he gave his life protecting someone important to him, but by saving the WoL he indirectly saved Eorzea by protecting its saviour. That's pretty poignant IMO.he shouldnt have died protecting me he sould have died fighting or something.i get they wanted to make it emotional, but this is something they should have done with a character that has a little more relevance to the overall story, such as a scion or perhaps even shiva
Haurchefant was the first character who treated the WoL like a person, rather than a tool to meet their selfish ends. when our Coerthas quests were done, he seemed legitimately sad he wouldn't see us again for a while, so I would visit him every day in-game just to read his flavor text. That is how important Haurchefant was to a lot of people.
