The bow is perfect!I always wondered why these supernatural creatures would have weapons and armor desiged for humans in the first place.
Ifrit would be like "Yes I have this incredibly powerful bow specifically designed for you mortals but NO YOU CAN'T HAVE IT YOU FOOLS. Me likez shiny stuff."
It's like with dragons and treasures. If I were a dragon I wouldn't hoard money in a cave and live in it. I'd have humans build me a giant aery with chocolate fountains. Honestly.
Anyway I think the weapons are fine, some of them could use a bit of downscaling though (like the bow).

I love how the new weapons look.![]()

Just a bit of a nit-picky word choices here about the geography of Hydaelyn and Eorzea; You do realize that all of the current crafted gear comes from only within the confines of Eorzea right? Eorzea is only one continent with 6 major cities on it, 3 of which we don't have access to (Sharlayan, Ishgard and Ala Mhigo). All of the current artistic direction comes from one of those cities on the same continent.
Eorzea isn't the continent. Eorzea is the country which consists of the city-states Limsa Lominsa, Gridania, Ul'dah, Ala Mhigo, Ishgard and Sharlayan. Regions Eorzea covers are La Noscea, the northern part of Vylbrand (O'Ghomoro is still unclear on whether it is the region's name or the volcano's), and in the continent of Aldenard; The Black Shroud, Thanalan, Mor Dhona, Coerthas, Gyr Abania, Xelphatol, Dravania and Paglth'an as well as numerous small islands. Land masses which Eorzea expands over are the island Vylbrand as well as the continent Aldenard.
So just be sure to make Eorzea a country, as Eorzea is not the continent. It's easy to mix them up, so just be wary.
Otherwise, I agree with you, Arcell. On nearly all your posts. And those who somehow think that a higher diety's weapon drops will resemble those which are crafted by a mortal's hand are truly ignorant of the hierarchy which surrounds the typical balance of high-end dieties with low-end mortals.

A bow is a flexible arc that shoots through elastic or spring energy. Essentially, the bow is a form of spring powered by a string or cord. As this string is drawn, energy is stored in the flexible limbs of the bow equally; the energy is transferred to the arrow when the string is released, projecting it much farther than a weapon could be thrown.

Hooke's Law states that the extension of a spring is in direct proportion with the load applied to it. But beyond that there are practical limitations depending depending on the specific case. In the case of a bow depending on the material it may snap if its pulled back too far. Also, you cannot pull the arrow back farther than its head or you will not be able to control it's horizontal direction, most people might agree that if our char. pulled their arrows back 6 inches behind the bow-as subtle as it may be-it would look completely silly.
This bow in particular contains incredibly dense and organic mass assuming it comes from ifrit, therefore, it's elasticity should be reasonably high but so is the force required to bend it. Therefore, the bow would shoot incredibly strong if there were someone strong enough to actual arch it to its optimal position (unlikely even if you assume your char is as strong as an elephant).
The point is moot however as the difference in density from top to bottom means that the bow will always shoot upward higher than your aim.
It's not so much that it's ugly as much as that it's just a crumby bow. Fancy though i guess like shoes.

I see! And the big horn at the top folds down to become the harp! :PA bow is a flexible arc that shoots through elastic or spring energy. Nice post. Though honestly I think that the elastic part of the top is similar to the bottom side. The dense part of the top is separated from the elastic part, so really it would only make it weigh more(Unless there is something about archery that I do not know which would affect there being more weight at the top).
