Whether you admit or not, that's reflective of the state of the game. PvP has never been given much of a thought by SE, and the lack of policing, focus and especially foresight is what leads to this. Initially they'd announce that only solo queues would receive seasonal rewards, with the top 1, 10 and 100 players per datacenter getting said rewards; It doesn't take that much of a thought to realize what the problem with that train-of-thought is. Even for pre-formed 4v4s, it doesn't match based on rank and now it becomes a matter of which team farms more rather than being the better player.
My point being is that its not entirely a problem that stems from the playerbase, but it's also from how the game is setup. It seems incredibly short-sighted to bring it up exclusively on the players.
