Recipe changes in 1.19

This is exactly the people i am talking about that will be the ones that are happy with this update.
People that dont like crafting.
Chances are u still wont craft much after the patch either.

Previous recipe for Thunderstorm Axe:

Silver Ingot
Undyed Canvas
Brimstone
Scale Glue
Storm Axe Head
Maple Axe Haft
Silver Axe Butt

New recipe for Thunderstorm Axe: (R46 weapon lol)

Steel Ingot
Walnut Lumber
Silver Ingot

Would it really have been so bad to make the recipe:

Steel Axe Head
Walnut Lumber
Silver Axe Butt

Why could they have possibly felt the need to remove all semblance of crafting from crafting. They might as well have just gone back to FFXIs throw some stuff in a magic ball and hope it works method. Recipes needed to be simplified by methods like using Fully crafted items and adding to them to upgrade into better versions of themselves while removing excessive parts. Instead they decided they needed to remove all the pieces, most often used for leveling, that could possibly make it appear as though you actually are making something. The concept of a person making an item directly from raw materials is absurd and heavily detracts from the Crafting Classes. As it was said before by literally hundreds of people. The problem with crafting is not the recipes it's the UI.

Simplification would have been fine. Gutting the system will only make things worse.

wow i didnt realize it was being simplified to that extent.
i was actually waiting for 1.19 to try my hand at crafting. that synth above doesnt even make much sense to me, there are no parts involved in making things at all it seems anymore.

the undyed canvas and glue i think can totally be ditched, but the axe head and stuff i feel are kind of necessary.

Basically if you look 2 this way the Steel ingot is used to make the axe head, lumber is the haft and the silver ingot is the axe butt.

If you did it the way the person you quoted the synth would still be very long if you wanted to do everything your self.
