Kinda gives me Stargate vibes. And is anyone besides me desperately hoping that the Mhachi don't have anything to do with the Allagans? Some of the pictures from the Live Letter makes the new raid appear like something the Allagans would've made if they were going through a macabre phase.

Would not surprise me if the Mhach were founded by survivors of some Allagans. For one thing, the late Allagan period dealt with the Void and its residence.

From what I see the Mhach looked rather technologically advanced compared to Amdapor and Nym.

I would be very hard to said that Mhachi had allagan survivors, specially beacuse the time between allagans and mhach was like 3 thousand years? I think?
Also based on all the info we have gather so far, we can mostly assume that the population on mach on its mayority were lalafels, and on the allagans were hyurs.

Saing that I would agreed that thr Mhach found some information about the allagans, about their tecnology and voidsents, specialy voidsents.

I don't think it would happen and it kind of seems like bad writing.
To be fair, it's a standard RPG trope for the easier enemies to be in the areas a player is introduced to first. So yeah, we cross over and just happen to encounter low-level voidsent, just like we exit the town gates at the start of the game and just happen to encounter low level mobs. Sure, level 49 Garleans may be less than a 5 minute walk away, but that doesn't mean the newbies have to worry about running into them!

And, in this case, the easy-mobs-first is built right into the Voidsent lore! Different Voidsent occupy different rungs in the Void heirarchy, with the most minor Voidsent (stuff like Deepeyes) in the lower rungs and major foes (like Diabolos) in the upper. As long as we punch through the Void in areas where the lower-rung mobs hang out, there's no reason to believe that top-rung mobs are going to be there, as well. They've got more important things to do than hang around in the Voidslums with the Bombs and Puddings.

That just reminded me of level 70+ mobs right outside of cities back in 1.0...

But regardless, how would we be able to tell where weaker Voidsent reside? I guess if anyone might've known it would be the Mhach, which might be our excuse in going to their city I suppose

I'm actually kind of disappointed... This looks amazing, yet it's just the next easy raid? This looks like it could be something on the level of Sky or Sea, yet it's just going to be another lame instance... I mean Diadem was their attempt at a Sky/Sea style area, and that completely sucked, so dodged a bullet there... But damn...

Can we work on converting this into an actual zone following the raid? I really want to explore this area in detail... Sucks we're likely going to be railroaded to a set path for the raid...
You'll have plenty of time to explore while the other 23 people are busy failing the simplest of mechanics.

Except I wont, because the only part of the area I'll be able to explore is the linear path set out for the raid... Why do I have to keep repeating myself? What's hard to understand here?

Yasuhiro even pretty much perfectly illustrated my point, highlighting what is likely the only part of the screenshot we'll get to walk around in...

And even if there is more to it (kinda like that big open area with the shallow water in Brayflox Longstop) people will figure out the shortest and most efficient route to take to make their runs take less time. I wouldn't mind areas like Cassiopeia Hollow and Shposhae from 1.0. I recall getting some fancy looking eye patch from Shposhae when I was exploring it out of curiosity back then. Maybe those "treasure map dungeons" or whatever that were teased in the live letter will be something similar?

I'm not sure if anyone posted this yet but there's a cave in the northeast corner of the Dravanian Forelands which has some Aztec like door tucked there

Looks like a possible entrance for that new Void Ark raid map
