Well damn, Yafaem Saltmoors it is...
I'm actually kind of disappointed... This looks amazing, yet it's just the next easy raid? This looks like it could be something on the level of Sky or Sea, yet it's just going to be another lame instance... I mean Diadem was their attempt at a Sky/Sea style area, and that completely sucked, so dodged a bullet there... But damn...
Can we work on converting this into an actual zone following the raid? I really want to explore this area in detail... Sucks we're likely going to be railroaded to a set path for the raid...

Yes. I'm not sure how you didn't get why from my post... Not really sure what else to say... This looks like a zone on the level of Dravania Forelands (for the outskirts) or Azys Lla (for the city), which I would absolutely love to explore. I can't state how amazing this area looks enough, really... My issue is we wont get to explore it in any detail... We'll be railroaded on a single path through it... It's the new 24 man raid... Honestly, the zone is wasted on the trash > boss > trash > boss > trash > boss > boss template SE has stuck to since 2.0... This could be an absolutely amazing zone for an amazing piece of content, but instead it's an amazing zone for a type of content I'm frankly very sick of... The fact that it's an amazingly designed zone just makes that all the more harder to swallow, because it's going to be a linear path... In the end, that amazing vista is just going to upset me, because every time I run this I'll be going "I want to fly over there and look at that!", and I'll never be able to...

Welcome to large scale raids

I think his whole point is flying over your head.
As I understand it(and agree), it is a shame that such nice locations are being delegated to the "gtta go fst, whers allince B?? Hurry up- we're all at the boss line!" Single corridor of trash mobs known as DF content for 24 people.
Even in Void Ark, there was some awe-inspiring areas here and there (like the coffin room), but unfortunately I think they waste so much time making these places look so gosh-darn nice when the content they've designed it for has a party (or even just 1 impatient tank) rushing everyone along.
Nobody is saying that these places don't look nice, it's just a shame where they're ending up.

Kinda amazxing that Mhach's ruins are still around. Guess the Calamity dug it up.
I know it's just my opinion... And I'm not saying it doesn't look amazing... I explicitly stated that I simply cannot say how amazing it looks enough...
It's an amazing looking area wasted on a substandard piece of content... That's my opinion... Don't let it ruin your enjoyment of the area, I'm simply letting SE know that this is the kind of zone I want to come back to outside the context of a raid... One of my long standing suggestions for this game is for dungeons and raids to unlock their respective areas as open world areas; You finish Lost City, now you get to explore it as an open world area, for example. Then whenever I see these new pieces of content, I can go "That's an amazing looking zone" and leave it at that, rather than ending the thought with "but I'll be stuck following a linear path through it..."
Zones like this have so much potential just for raw exploration... Slap in a few lore tidbits, maybe some quests... There is a lot they could do with areas like this, but instead all we get is the raid... It's disappointing...
