Well if you want to make them then probably. I'm sure they'll cost like 20 mil at the start getting it from others.

I keep trying to get into crafting, but I finally made almost all right side 170 gear, and got my first set of control materia since patch day from the airships (I've rebuilt 2 of 4), and 9 of 10 failed the 29% meld chance.

Knowing how much I could have sold it for just makes me die a little on the inside.

Yes, these are confirmed as shared sets. And no you shouldn't stop getting the AF2 because it's already been stated that crafting these new sets will require stats only obtainable with current top tier crafting gear.

Well if you want to wait you can save the money that you'd spend blowing up materia and just buy the sets when they go up on the MB. Even at the most expensive estimates is still probably cheaper than how much you go through attempting to pentameld the current gear, let alone for multiple classes.

Except you don't have to overmeld anything but accessories to reach 3 star (and I'm hard-pressed to believe it'll be that much higher than 3 star.)

The amount of gil to be made selling these new sets on release day also far outweighs anything you would save by not melding.

As for the topic, I think they are hideous, guess I'm going back to my shirtless bacon cooking glamour.
