    You can just as easily hold aggro and be a meat shield WHILE doing great dps. If you can make a run faster why wouldn't you? If I was a tank that only tanked or a healer that only healed i'd be bored of the game really fast only because most content doesn't hit hard enough to warrant more.
    My tank is, for the most time, paired with people at almost 10 iLvs higher than me, so I have to Halone like 3 times in a row before throwing on Goring or Royal. That said, I'd rather be labeled as a tank that can't dps than a tank that can't hold hate. Either way, both paths are flagged as "You suck!".

    *EDIT*
    After my run-ins with my tanking experiences lately, I realized I'm not a legit tank. I can't push 1k like everyone else. So, I'll just continue being a NIN.
