

My static's DRG has this problem. The new gear for him apparently has so much sks its wrecking his rotation. Our BLM and NIN both outparsed him on this week's a5s clear and he's normally our top dps.

What they should do is get rid of the parry stat as it is and instead, put "+2% parry rate," "+5% parry rate," etc on gear. It would actually be useful then rather than stacking all this parry as of now and only getting like a 1% increase.

I'm going to go ahead and say as a full time tank:
Make parry useful or kill it with fire. I don't care what the devs do with it, I just want them to do something.

I agree, increase the effectiveness of the parry stat by approx 2000% or just kill it. By the time you stack parry high enough to be of any difference in content, you will be about 3 expansions ahead of that content.
Or better yet, give tanks a riposte trait or build it in to their tank stances. Whenever you parry an attack you counter-attack for 100 potency. (Still requires the parry stat to be adjusted into actually being of use)
In phantasy star universe, attacking immediately after a parry would make your attack do more damage. I guess in FFxiv, they could make a parry guarantee your next ability/weaponskill/spell be a crit? Not sure if that'd be overpowered or not.
Parry is like cockroaches. No matter how much you hate them it can either save your life or fall down on your bumb. please note that its kinda loved but it sucks
Yo. I like the idea of fixing parry...
...But first let them make something as a backup for DRK then. I don't want to wait 2 patches before my reprisal will proc...
Looks like they might be changing Parry in 3.4 or 4.0.

It's good that they've recognized there's a problem. Assuming it's a sweeping rework, I wouldn't expect it 'til 4.0 - but 3.4 would be nice.
