Does that alter the statement about the number ofncores in the GPUs? No, it doesn't. You're making the same argument people make about upscaled video vs native video. This generation, it is undeniable that games on PS4 typically have better frame rates and resolution than 3rd party multiplatform games on Xbox One. That doesn't mean the Xbox One games are inferior or play worse, but it is a fact. Are you arguing the fact or attempting to claim it irrelevant? I very much doubt that any PC user would want to minimize the number of GPU cores, especially for two GPUs of the same architecture and generation.

I'd really rather not turn this topic into the usual religiuos war about consoles. There is zero argument about whether or not Xbox One is capable of running FFXIV, clearly it is. What difficulty remains is whether or not MS still demands Gold Membership, and whether or not SE can patch the game on their own schedule or not. If they cant, that impacts all players since you want client versions to be in lockstep. Those are issues that are not part of announcing that Xbox One will be allowed to see 3rd party game servers/networks, which ia all that was announced.

This is now, that was then. This is Xbox One, that was Xbox 360, this is now, that was when MS was desperate for a foothold in Japan, and would have spent/done anything to gain it.
