SE added the minion because they wanted peoplewho don't like PvP to play. That shortens queue times for those of you who do enjoy it. If you want to win, join the Maelstrom.

Well....I'm in the Maelstrom. Not really helping lol
I wouldn't mind longer queue times if that meant being paired with people who actually want to be there.
Well, on the good side... Having people who normally wouldn't touch PvP with a ten foot pole try it out because of a minion (same with people trying it out because of glamour), chances are at least some will realize they actually like it, and stay with it even after they get their minion =)
Not likely with the way some of our dedicated PvP'ers act. Raging at people for not "being good", telling them to uninstall, etc.Well, on the good side... It's more that there's people that don't try as hard as they could be.
They don't use their PvP skills, they don't research the game mode at all. They play like it's pve.
When your rank is at the whim of another player, you're going to urge them to improve their skills. Some may just not have the tact others do.

Or any tact at all, for that matter. I'm sorry, but "If you don't know how to play right, go kill yourself" (sadly, I've seen variations of this said on more than one occasion) isn't anything even remotely like "urging them to improve their skills." Yes, I think people should do some research before going into PvP, just like PvE. No, I don't think people have the right to abuse them if they don't. Honestly, if I was the one being screamed at like that, I'd probably play worse on purpose just to spite the person raging at me.
That's honestly one of the things that keeps me from playing PvP more than I do. It just seems to bring out the worst in people. :s
the feast is not gc restrictive so being in the Maelstorm is no different than being in the Flames or Adders. The only reason queue times are short is because this is new content and 200 wins gets you a mount.
Oh, right... I remember them mentioning something about removing GC restrictions so friends don't have to fight against one another. That's too bad. I personally thought the PvP areas right before this where you defend the nodes, were actually very fun. Killing other players doesn't interest me, but I did enjoy guarding areas to keep other players out.
