It's best they do it now, not when the first season begins.
Let them get it all out, get their minion, get their mount, and then leave. Leave it to the pvpers who want to play pvp.

The minion was going for 2-3 million gil last I looked on Ultros.
I'd rather give the PVP a try than wait for that to come down. I need to grind marks anyway to buy the PVP songs since those were also going for millions of gil last time I checked the board.

Changing the drop to wins only wouldn't affect how I play, it would just make me have to play even more matches to get what I want. I do try my best the rare times I PVP, my best just isn't very good (yet).

If the minion is confirmed to drop from the unrated mode I'll happily farm that as I don't wish to bring down more serious competitive players on my team.

TC wouldn't you rather the non pvpers play a bunch now and get their minions while it's preseason, so when the real first season starts, where your ratings actually matter and there are actual rewards for rating, they won't be around anymore?

No reason to worry about losing right now it's just preseason.

probably to cover up the monotony of doing the same mode 200 times a day offering the players a chance to get something rewarding other than a lucky group composition. Meh.

They should make the minion drop only if you win atleast the bads wouldn't get it that way, and it gives people more incentive to win.
