Pretty sure you want to meld all strength IV's. Why would you meld anything else? Left side can't be over melded.

I live in a clock now, umbrellas and blimps n****

Because STR for Tanks is worse for damage. VIT offer more in terms of attack power.
Me? I'm focusing on giving my DRK Skill Speed then Det.
Crit wise it's RNG so I don't rely on it while SKP is always active and effects your Scrouge and Salted Earth but I like the quicker MP regen when using Syphon strike combo.

Str and Vit provide equal damage bonus for tanks. Vit is better because it provides health and damage, but it can't be melded to tank accessories. Str can be melded and is a main stat for tanks, which means it is the best choice for melding accessories. Other classes would be ecstatic to meld more main stat. Don't give up this big advantage by melding something else.
If you think parry or speed or anything else is better, just trust the forums on this and go Str. You'll do more damage and hold aggro easier as people gear up with lore. You can't meld Str to armor, so put whatever secondaries you like on armor. Crit and Det are the best choices (more damage and easier aggro), but there is more flexibility because they are just secondary stats. Put speed or parry there.

Any tips for Dragoon? VIT, STR or CRIT?
Still felt new to FF so idk about all this things D:
Also, any difference if I meld to body pieces instead of accessories?

I think VIT Offers more in terms of Attack Power. STR and VIT is quite close but VIT just abit more then STR. Otherwise people would stack in STR if it offered more AP then VIT. Str and vit are both 0.45 AP

Does anyone anywhere think melding PIE would be useful for DRK or PLD, or is that just silly and inferior to Crit/Det/SS/Parry?

I ran some math on that idea a while back, short answer is no. You lose so many secondary stats to be able to get one more DA that the loss isn't even close to worth it.
They are both .45 AP. However, Fending accessories have more VIT than Slaying have STR. Which is why Fending is preferred.
Always meld STR on fending accesories whitout questions, IV for ones that gets replaced fast othervise V's. If you got the gil then go for V's even for those that gets replaced because diffirence between IV and V is huge, wait for reset day as peoples will flood V's due VA item so you will get them cheaper compared to weekends for example.
