I am absolutely loving DRK in this, PLD too somewhat, but mostly DRK.
I used to really take the interruptability I had for granted with all of the oGCDs, just had a match where the healer blew all of their guaranteed cast skills and then for the duration of the engagement I completely denied them from getting a single heal off by just weaving accordingly, by the time I was pretty much spent, half their team was dead thanks to some coordination with our DPS and we had all the medals.
I'm having a blast.

I very rarely throw my voice into threads; but just a 'tiny' bit disgruntled.
Solely being that the solo ranked matches is so infuriatingly punishable rating points wise. It's the nature of the beast; but have fallen victim to lots of unfortunate losses due to compositions and players adjusting to how the mode is played, which has stifled my rating progression.
It's unfortunate and understand it's how it is; yadda-yadda; but I would feel that solo ranked matches should at the least give solo rating points based on your own merit as theirs never a guarantee of the quality of players you're being grouped with.
I know it's new and I sound a little pessimistic; and sure stuff will be moaned and discussed but for the main part I absolutely love it! Just feel that if we're to get seasonal achievements done through the solo ranked duty finder; Maybe it should award us based on solo performances or some form of incremental increase based on kills/assists/medals kept?
Wasn't expecting much in the first place but I still somehow ended up disappointed.
It just feels like it's lacking something, a toned down slaughter/striking dummy.
But that's just me since I've been pretty much jaded by FFXIV PvP, so don't think there's much PvP left for me here sadly.
How are lost matches for other roles exactly? As Dark Knight I've been finding it fairly common to lose a match with fairly good medals/kills/assists (and no deaths). If that's just a tank thing, I can see some issue with adjusting the ranks like that, since it would naturally give tanks a very obvious advantage. If a good healer/DPS can manage similar results while paired with idiots, then there's no real problem though.
Very fair and true point. I too play as tank so I can see the validation of your query and the bias of my suggestion. =PHow are lost matches for other roles exactly? I guess maybe if it looked at other attributes associated with a fight (dps done, healing done) then maybe; But I suspect that'd never happen any ways. I guess I'm nothing more than a little bummed out over not being able to pursue the seasonal objectives with my friends; which has been our largest talking point whilst waiting for The Feast to start.
Would it be possible to change how the teams are represented in the Duty List? I've had a couple of games where I thought my team was losing when in fact it was an overwhelming victory.
Do what Metal Gear Online 3 did and make so that your team is always Blue and the opposing team is always Red to make it easier to differentiate how well the match is going.
Otherwise I've been loving it so far.
8v8 is so fun man,
I wish the commend button wouldn't dissapear behind the final score board. I actually commend my healers![]()
