This is real that most schools around the world teach english. They also teach deutsch, spanish, italian, etc. For a F kid, english is only another school subject, and not a very important one. Maths are important. French (yeah in france, weird no?) is important. Sciences are. English... is clearly beyond, amongst other languages, art, and sports. Smart kid are good in maths, not english. They can be, but from a school point of view, it's secondary.


You're just flying high if you believe the world take english as the universal language. The truth is, ppl speak their native language the most and value it, then if they have interest to, they can learn and value other languages but 1/ they don't have to, 2/ it can be any one.
