MANTASTIC: I got 1017 problems, but playing FFXIV ain't one.
Llyren: Lala Tanks hit point density levels attract small planets
I never do it on Alexander, but I tend to never loot after the Void Ark's second boss, so people can't leave after getting their lot and if we're fast enough we start the next boss with the loot pool at 30 secs aprox, then when we engage I loot, but they can't leave because we're in combat.
I hate early leavers >_>
But But I queue in progress for tomes and your making it so I have to start everytime at the beginning.
Honestly I agree with ya.

I just flag /afk and go do something else if someone is insisting on not rolling.
I once also had a terrible healer not roll on loot I could need because I "DPSed and didn't help heal" this was 2 weeks ago in moogle HM :x lol didn't realize that was so hard for people.

I'm the same here. I very rarely pass anything. And I don't roll on something that I'll just turn in for seals when that same piece could be useful or an upgrade to someone else.I often don't roll in lower level dungeons because, well...I kinda want the item, but only if nobody else wants it or needs it for a secondary class (which can only be done with a greed roll). So if everyone passes while I don't roll at all, the item comes to me by default, whereas if I simply passed as well the item would be gone.
Now, if I could see what the others rolled, I could simply greed/pass accordingly. But alas...
If someone else wants it and rolls that's fine. If not I'll trade it for seals.
I think it would be nice if they had a "greed (GC Seals)" option where if you win it's automatically turned into seals and removed from your inventory.
Can imagine it might be a fair bit of work to implement though
Or maybe there could be an option that is simply "I'll take this if nobody else wants it" to keep items from falling to the floor. I always feel bad when that happens.I'm the same here. Actually ran into this. People not rolling trying to make others leave.

The worst this ever happened to me was when Hullbreaker Isle was fairly new, and I went as a bard trying to get the bard body piece. Well, it dropped at the final boss, and the tank sat there the entire five minutes only to have it drop to me because I was able to roll need. What a waste of his time.
Generally if someone tries to do the "wait it out" bs I just start doing the Manderville until they get the point that I'm not leaving.

The fact that you can now see whether players have lot or passed is a start, but it's still not good enough. You don't even know if the players have even passed, so here's the solution:
You should be able to see everyone else's lot result, whether they have passed, or needed or greeded:
To explain:
Players SHOULD be able to see whether people have rolled for the loot, or passed on the loot, ESPECIALLY IF THEY NEEDED OR GREEDED ON THE ITEM.
Furthermore, if the player hit greed or need, you should be able to see everyone else's lot results.
In other words, exactly as FFXI had it.

Oh God. I was once in Alexander and people literally admitted they were not rolling because the drop was "for their friend." That's right. They claimed the damn drop for themselves. So they stood there for a full 5 minutes, not caring that they were being called rude and completely selfish, because the drop was "for their friend."
If you couldn't tell, I support this thread.
