    No, normally you shouldn't need to, but in one of those tutorials, you have the tank taking damage from one mob, and the dps taking damage from another mob. In an actual party, the tank should in most cases pick up the add and deal with both of them (unless it's a matter of 'this add dies in four hits, it's fiiiine' type of situations). It was by no means impossible to keep them both up, but that in combination with the whole 'not in your party list, you have to click on them manually' meant it took longer than it should have to switch between them and... yeah. I'd have liked to have thrown out at least one Medica during that specific lesson. I'd at least have liked to have been able to do so.

    I haven't tried doing them as a synched scholar yet (since my scholar is 60 so I wouldn't get those few thousand exp on it), but I'm fairly sure this also means you wouldn't be able to benefit from your fairy healing either of them. Admittedly, this isn't really going to be a problem since a new player won't have a scholar by the time they get to those tutorials; it's just something that piques my curiosity ^^
    (There's a reason why I have an alt named Lethal Curiosity...)

    As a side note, I find it slightly amusing that these situations mainly concern new players and (presumably) lower level duties, since that's who the tutorials are primarily aimed at. And when asked what they would do if several people in the party were low on health, people in this thread respond with saying they'd use high-level healing skills ^^;

    There is. Don't remember exactly, but something along the lines of "absolutely nothing wrong about throwing out some damage: do it if you have time. just don't do it if people's health is getting low D: your primary task is healing, not damage".
