Make it happen.
The optimist in my says that he hopefully left after already laying down the groundwork for the game going forward. The pessimist in me fears he left because of some internal conflict over the future direction of the game that we are unaware of.
That's what I'm afraid ofThe negative always sounds more plausible too
this will mean absolutely nothing to us gamers. people get hired and fired and leave all the time.
Yea, people leave companies all the time. Just because an engineer leaves Boeing doesn't mean planes will drop from the sky. Maybe it was a move up for him, so I wish him the best of luck. And honestly, lore is kinda of stinky/lacking in this game so not sure it could possibly be a bad thing. Anyway, thanks for sharing.
I saw a Yoshi post earlier today. Anything useful?
People who are 6th on the list of a game's credits don't leave all the time.
And the truth is that programmers/engineers are replaceable, but creative members of a team are not. If you replaced Uematsu, the music of the game wouldn't just be made by a different person, it would be completely different. If you replaced Yoshida (the other one) the game's characters would begin to look different over time. The World Planner is a big deal for the feel of the game going forward.

Probably whoever take over will do a good job but FYI if you don't know who he is.

Just had another read through of that interview, still waiting to know what this means:
Maybe something to do with them causing the umbral eras, but I guess that's not for this thread. Shame we lost him though, I do like the general direction the story seems to be going (SLOWLY), it seems like we haven't seen much of the depth they hope to eventually go into with the secrets of Eorzea at all. Shame he didn't see it come to pass.DP: You can choose your guardian deity during character creation, but can you switch during the course of the game?
KI: We’ll probably make it possible, since there are some SERIOUS revelations about the deities during the game (Iwao laughs). There will most likely be a penalty, though.
you even no for a fact nothing will change. Why even try to think this is important? In fact in this very game the main guy was taken out and we still are getting updates (and the game is looking better then ever) i bet 1.19 comes out in tuesday and all the other updates will come as well.People who are 6th on the list of a game's credits don't leave all the time.

ARC will still have a harp (i made a funny) and jobs will role out without a hitch.
the main guys for the biggest game ever COD left and guess what? the game sold more and more each year. This will mean ZERO to each and everyone of us thats a fact.
You are getting all crazy about nothing. You will notice nothing that is a fact.
