Hmmm i dont know what to say... the chest is a part of FF long time ago right...?

Wait, the Thaumaturge/Conjurer's scepter is a PlayStation®Move? Surprise surprise gentlemen, that means the PS3 release is coming soon!
...
bah, I suck on this, bite me.
I'd rather use the Verdant Scepter than that thing lol
Because it has been shown that incapacitation have no affect on drops from a chest, the loot simply works differently when it is from a chest. It appears to be the way it is designed. Chests are spawn by triggers, such as X mob died, and then have their own loot table.
You don't incapacitate the chest so it doesn't help your drop chances, and Deepvoid/Batraal at least have no loot table of their own so there is really no point in incapacitating either which is a real shame. Once groups figure out how to kill Ifrit now all they can do is continue to farm him the exact same way until everyone has the drops.
If incapacitation had been included then groups could push themselves to incapacitate different areas for a better shot at certain loot. I guess I'm silly for wanting more goals in a fight than just get HP to 0% as quickly as possible, but then again I've been playing MMO's for a long time I guess I expect more.
I think we got enough fun with "chests" in Darkhold to hold us over for one patch... we haven't had an encounter to use incapacitations on since the December NMs.

Nah sorry, I meant: Why not having the drop (whichever it is) in a chest instead of inside a monster? Makes any difference and Final Fantasy is well-known about its chests.
Yeah, but you incapacitate the monster and the drop is in the chest. Who knows! Maybe when you incapacitate him you'll drop a piece of something during battle, all is possible!
As I said in the other thread, love 'em. I hope they continue to design things in the style of the encounter, so we might get armour and weapons similar to the garleans when we finally have proper encounters with them.
It's nice to be able to see specifically where your adventures have taken you based on your equipment.
I like the glow in this case, fairly tasteful. I think they could overdo it if they add glows etc to too many items in the future, but as I said before I love that these effects come into action only upon taking the weapon out rather than on the hilt. I hope that's the case for future equipment (I think it will be, FFXI recently added effects to a few rare items and they similarly do it upon entering combat).

Chuckle. Yes, indeed. Sorry, but the pugilist knuckles and the THM... Softcream Cone just look silly.Oh nice korean weapons.
But i guess they have to compromise to appease the kiddies, so i can live with it.
(Btw: the axe looks good)

Hmmm i agree on the incapacitations, that will make it more difficult to achieve correctly, but on the other hand, chest are fine.Because it has been shown that incapacitation have no affect on drops from a chest, the loot simply works differently when it is from a chest. It appears to be the way it is designed. Chests are spawn by triggers, such as X mob died, and then have their own loot table.
