    Well, there shouldn't be any requirements for being a mentor other than time played based on your account, not on any specific character. If you've got 90 days in or so, you should be allowed to mentor. What do commendations and dungeon runs really prove? Comms are just supposed to be a means of expressing appreciation to a random person; using them to gate a community role is tacky.

    "Hello, I'm having issues healing tanks during speed runs. Can you give me some advice on which abilities and skills I should be starting off with?" "I'm also having issues trying to dps. What is the best time to enter Cleric Stance?"

    Mentor isn't some free pass to a new DF and chat log. It's there to help new players.
