There have been a couple of times where I was watching my cooldowns a bit too closely and I noticed that Barrage was ready and Empyreal Arrow was almost ready, so I occasionally decided to pop Barrage in advance.... but really there was maybe a second or two left before Empyreal was ready, so of course I should use a skill or two in the meantime! Oh.... no, wait my........ oh well.

Also, I'm kind of new to Ninja but I still mess up Sneak and Trick attack sometimes as well. *sigh* !

I remember the first time I fought Bismarck. I hadn't really levelled any other classes and I was still working my way through the story of 3.0, so of course I was a Bard. I go to kill one of the adds, and seeing as I was trying to work Repelling Shot into my rotation, I figured I'd use it on an add.

Here's the problem: I didn't know that you could fall off the sides in the Bismarck fight at the time.

Which basically meant I Repelling Shot myself to my own death

And this is not the first time I've done this.

Thousand Maws of Toto-Rak, my fifth dungeon ever (I'm a dungeon, party and FF14 noob). I didn't know about LBs nor did I realize that I was suppose to put the icon on my hotbar. Safe to say, people were telling me to LB but I had no idea where to find it. Luckily, we won the final boss fight (but everyone was nearly dying). ( /)A(\)

I was soo mortified by what had happened. After the battle, I spent the whole week reading about the game mechanics and all that I need to know about dungeons and parties in FF14.

This is one I've done numerous times. I get my 3 Aethertrail stacks, enemy is too low to spam ruin3 so I just go for the deathflare and hammer the button only for nothing to happen. As the trance wears off I'm wondering why the beam of doom didn't appear and then I see my LB macro go off... I swear sometimes it's a bad idea to have them in the same location on different hotbars.

I'm sure everyone has hit the wrong button at some point in this game. My best mistake has got to be the time when I was trying to limit break Angra Mainyu in WoD, but I accidentally hit my Realm Reborn Red button and ended up spraying sparkling wine into his giant eye. Not as effective as a lb, but at least it was amusing.

Was in The Vault (NIN) with a pretty iffy healer - for some reason she never used Medica II/ Regen/ DS, just spammed Cure II on the tank and then lost it when Charibert did his Knights -> Holy Chain -> Heavensflame x2 bit at the end. On our first/ second attempt the tank dies again, and the MNK is running around trying to keep Charibert busy while our healer resurrects the tank. Aha, I think to myself, 'tis time to use my NIN abilities and save the day! So I go to throw Smokebomb on the healer... only to derp in a truly magnificent manner and throw Smokebomb on the MNK and Shadewalker on the WHM, killing us all.

Afterwards:
MNK: We were so close!
Me: Yeah... just don't know what happened there.

...I'm curious as to why you had that on your hotbars...

Last night I was fighting against Titan for the very first time. I researched what to do so as to not bog down the party with questions. I was there, I was so there, in the moment as a Ninja. My stabbers' were spinning, my legs were flying, my Ninjutsu was on-fucking-point. I even tossed a Goad to the Paladin, a risky move as I'm just getting used to soft targets. And then it happened. The moment I've heard about. The music changed. My metal soul kicked up. I, accidentally, head banged. My headset flew off and hit my TV. I watched in horror as the mighty fist of Titan connected with my poor Ninja and sent him flying through the air, off the pillar, to die alone on the ground beneath the stage. I wept as I heard the music flare up, I saw the life ebb and flow in my party. I had to wait, wait for my comrades to succeed where I had failed.

It made me so sad that when I get home tonight I'm going to queue up once more and see it to its end.
