Crafters have no right to get their own Chocobos

Rental chocobos are not the equal of personal chocobos. They originate from only 3 points on the map. Traveling from arbitrary point to another arbitrary point is a huge step up, even if we discount that rental chocobos cost money and aren't as fast.

Grand Companies seem to hand out crafting manuals in exchange for their precious seals. This puts some significant tarnish on their pure combat shine.

Making people do things in a game that they don't want to do is a bad thing. It makes people quit. Misery can be had for free. Forcing battle classes to rank a craft to fix their gear was bad. Forcing a crafter to fight so that they can access transit is also bad.

Although this is true, it would only be fair to mention that if people wanted crafters to be just as important as DoW/M, they should also be able to experience the storyline, this being a primary issue, not Personal Chocobos.

Again, it doesn't really take long to reach rank 25 in a battle class. I have nothing against crafting and gathering classes, as one of my friends wants to craft more than battle. That's fine by me but games tend to set certain requirements and conditions before being able to experience new features. This is just one of many that requires a battle class. As Materia craft will require leveling a crafting class.

So, lets think of a way this can be handled to where crafters and gatherers can achieve their own personal chocobo..

What they can do is make a few GC quests centered towards crafters. Like they can make the supply materials for the caravan escorts. That would be great actually.. Gatherers can even play a part in that. Gathering quests.

However, most of the Grand Company content is Military-based, which in the case of the current events happening in Eorzea, means war. So GC quests should hardly be focused on DoH/L quests IMO.

Also, Coglin, I was being half sarcastic, as in, personal chocobos aren't the only chocobos available. You should also learn how to spell. /bow

Lets look at this another, more reasonable way.

In order to get your own personal chocobo, you must earn and trade in at least 3000 seals.. Period.

If you want seals, you will figure out a way to get them. Currently that means you need to complete specific quests. I'm sure other means will become available, but at this stage you must figure out what to do to earn those seals.

If you do not want to complete these specific quests, you need to either wait for new content, or ask SE for another handout.
