The leve updates will have leves reset every time you complete or fail one though. In theory you might never have to leave town or only visit 1 camp.
Not really the point. No body wants to be stuck in one place.
All we are saying is that it is unfair to not allow Crafters and Gatherers to Join the Companies where they would acquire the mounts. Especially when you consider the companies have crafter and gatherer content in them and the lore of the companies revolves around the blending of the three roles. And when you consider Crafters and gatherers have a significantly higher need for mounts.
This will never even effect me, but what is the point of alienating a possible new player for absolutely no reason?
It is kinda related though because if you don't need to travel as much not having access to a personal chocobo isn't as large of an issue.
IMO only gatherers have any kind of reasonable complaint.
Seems like a good reason to give them to crafters and gatherers. Imagine setting your Chocobo to "Defend" while you chop down a tree...
depends on gatherers really,
it would be situational, like they've exhausted points and are left with the 2 that are on opposite sides of the zone, then yeah, a bird would be handy. but for points that are relatively close together it'd probably take just as long, if not longer, calling a bird and getting there than just running anyway.
Crafters and gatherers, they are all the same. They are all being left out from Eorzea.
Except for the part about crafters receiving nice overhauls that are removing a lot of the stupid busywork in crafting, being important to materia, and on top of that getting methods to customize gear?
The point current crafters are making is moot.
98% of you have a Battle/Magic class over 25.
Per Yoshida's statement, Crafters and gatherers will be moved to a secondary/support role, in terms of content. Seeing this will be the case in the future for the relaunch, the game will not be marketed as a game where you can simply be a Crafter/gatherer and call it a day, like it was at launch, so new players will not be coming on board with that way of thinking.
They might adjust the requirements to get a Chocobo in the future, sure. But the days where you can only be a crafting/gathering class are over if you want to experience FFXIV as a whole, thankfully I might add.
All being said, it is not unfair to ask to have a war/magic class up to 25 to unlock features.
