Yay! Thanks!
Yay! Thanks!
Nice. I'm going to slightly modify it and add an Invigoriate modifier to it and see if the results are the same, maybe play around with some numbers, but that's a really solid sheet dude.
If you just explain what you're doing a bit more clearly, I can do all the calculations needed within the span of a minute, lol. It's just a matter of inputting the rotation into "Dervys" stuff.

Alright.. I did a bit more work on the AoE spreadsheet. New file here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/qq39nplhgh...2%29.xlsx?dl=0
Basically just wanted to see what all could be done within the limitations of TP regen + Invigorate. There's a new little section comparing the original combos plus a few new configurations I thought of. And instead of a whole set of tables I consolidated into a formula where you can just change the # enemies and get a result comparing an actual rotation that could be used before running out of TP.
Several different rotations which are listed were compared and verified in-game for accuracy. I haven't got to test them all in dungeons but as far as the amount of attacks and the potency formulas go they are spot on as best I can figure.
The best rotation for AoE, mathematically calculated, is HT > RoT > DS*8 > HT/RoT*5 which weighs in at 10816 potency on 4 enemies. The main problem with this combo is that it relies on correct positioning which isn't always possible/feasible. Every Heavy Thrust you miss, and every resulting RoT, is a big potency drop all the way down to around 9300 if you missed everything.
The best consideration for AoE, based on my opinion and findings, is the highest potency per GCD combo: HT > DS*9 > HT > DS*4. The potency for 4 enemies is 9934, lower overall than the first combo but 4 less chances to miss potency on HT or RoT procs.
If you figure that most pulls are 6-7 enemies, simply missing 1 HT/RoT proc is going to bring these combos much closer together, miss 2 and DS spam pretty much overtakes it.
General considerations:
HT > RoT > DS*8 and HT > DS*9 are the only combos that requires you to use Invigorate to complete. It's the highest potency, as well, so it makes sense to burn this first with all buffs.
HT/RoT is great damage if all positionals are hit and it's less taxing on TP. More attacks and thus more damage. If hitting positionals is too difficult on a given pull, forego trying to combo and just Doomspike
Target locking is a good way to maintain mobility and adjust to fit all enemies in to Doomspike. Target a mob 180 degrees from you, and hopefully one in the middle of the pack. It's easy to shimmy left or right while locked on to fit them in the line. It also helps you keep auto-attacking.
If anyone finds any errors in the spreadsheet please let me know. I hope this helps with a proper AoE section for the OP
