    I can identify myself as a member of FFXIV. Doesnt mean I represent you or anyone else for that matter.

    Common sense would tell you that obviously he doesnt speak for the LGBT community.

    you don't represent me but you do represent FF14 community as a whole when you go out there.. whether you like it or not.

    This is also ONE of the reason many companies fires their emolpyees or CEO that brought bad publicity. (FireFox, Taco Bell, etc)

    A community is a collection of individuals, and if an individual has the power to represent the collective as a whole, then she does represent you.
