Hildibrand Season 2 Official Release in 3.2!

Yay, I guess...

I mean, the quests were fun, but at this point I kind of want some more "serious" side quest stuff... Mail Mog needs a season 2, Winebaud's Riddles could provide a great questline, or even better we could get new Grand Company ranks with an actual story attached to them? I'd love something like that. Heck, even the Doman Adventurer's Guild could do with more sidequests... There's a lot of potential side quest material which just isn't getting used, instead we get hilarious face contortions I guess? Looking forward to it regardless, but I'd still rather have seen some of the other side quest potential fulfilled in 3.0 and then had Hildy return for 4.0. Back to back Hildibrand runs the risk of becoming stale, eventually he is going to need a significant break to build anticipation...

I wouldn't really call it a 'long break'. At least not in terms of raw content. The Scholasticate quests were advertised as a 'more serious' set of side quests only for Hildibrand's influence to show up there as well.

Two patches isn't what I'd call a significant break, the Scholasticate quests are either following off into their own thing (please be that) or will be reintroducing him now, so depending on that, I'd potentially count them. Hopefully they remain their own thing though.

We got Hildibrand back to back in 2.0s life cycle, I don't want that to happen again to be honest. I don't want every single patch to bring in some new silly antics, because frankly that's just going to wear his comedy thin too quickly and I'd much rather see the writing team take a break and work on something different for a time. I think if they did that, not only would we get something different in the interim, but when he finally does return it would be fresh again.

Last Hildiquest was 2.5, Before the Fall Part I, released in January of 2015; over a year ago.

None of the sidequests were "serious" or even felt that way. Only thing that was remotely like that was the Coils which you don't have to do but the story makes it seem so dire.....yet nothing happens if you don't do it. I'm glad their adding hildabrand again. The humor is welcomed in a world filled with monotony, repetitive and cute strike at urgency with every chance it gets. (aka, we can't die, WoL OP for life)
