Pet Glamor System

They are taking their time on Pet Glamour likely because a pet glamour system would only benefit 3 jobs (MCH, SCH and SMN) at most currently. Priority is being given to stuff that will potentially benefit/entertain as many people as possible before things that only benefit a limited number of jobs. I do not doubt they are working on it, but do not think it is their highest priority.

Conjurers got a Mount at 30 because the devs wanted to give players and incentive to level a Conjurer to 30 in order to help other levels to 30 as well (lack of healers pre-30 was an actual fear in 2.0). Tanks got mounts from doing 8 man endgame content in order to give players an incentive to queue as tanks for that sort of content which would help out others trying to do that content. So Pet Glamour does not really compare to the Conjurer/Tank mounts.

I completely get that, but from the onset of the game, there was an expectation from those who enjoy these classes that was not met. I do not want to see this topic stay updated and not fall to the wayside.Hence the reason for my posting.

I understand your point and didn't really want to mention the mounts, but since some brought it up I thought I would include it. The point is the dev's DID add rewards for specific classes to make those who play them happy or increase the likelihood that other players will level the class. So, I think there is some relevance when looking at the reasoning for the glamor system especially since this was address back in 2.0 as something that should have been planned from the start and wasn't.

I'm aware of the reasons behind those rewards, that's not the point. The point was that it's not uncommon for a particular class/job/role to get an exclusive feature/reward that isn't then extended to the rest of the jobs, so SMN will not be unique in that concept. When mentioning the glamour system, it was specifically in relation to SMN, and their Egi, and not any other Job with a 'pet'. Now the reason they alone are going to get this reward (unless SE changes their mind or something) has been mentioned by myself in previous posts, so no need to bring it up again.

Heck, SMN as it stands already have more pets than everyone else, so why is the fact they're going to get even more (albeit via an Egi glamour system) suddenly considered 'unfair' and that SCH/MCH should get the same thing?
