I believe that the patches after the end of the Dragonsong War will start building up the story for 4.0, which I guess will deal with fighting back the Empire and going eastward. 3.3-5 will probably see the WoL get (more) involved with the resistance movement, and I really hope the last patch before 4.0 will lead to an uprising against the Empire, culminating in a massive battle to retake Ala Mhigo (giving us the next expansion's starting point & capital).
As for the Scions, I believe Minfilia will be one of the last to return, too, and I think Urianger will have a major part to play in this. My guess is that he will "betray" the Scions in one of the next patches, and later be revealed to be a double agent. I simply don't think Urianger is evil, he's been through too much with the Scions to turn on them now.

I was thinking abit, I think with 3.2 ending the dragonsong war it'll look like this:
3.2: Dragonsong War ends
3.3: Aftermath ->Meet Urianger/learn what his goals are, and what he's doing with the ascians (I have a feeling it's going to involve trying to bring Moenbryda back)
3.4: Defeat the Warriors of Darkness ->Meet up with Minfilia again, finally
3.5: Take part in the Ala Mhigan Resistance/Uprising alongside the Eorzean alliance ->Meet up with Yda/Papalymo

I would have liked it if one of them died, to be honest. Maybe off Papalymo since we've got enough enough "smart and serious mages" among the Scions.
Yda could use being a bit more serious + she does display good insights/ ideas.

agreed papalymo is the only scion ive never liked so hopefully they kill him off at some point :P aslong as they finally show us ydas face instead of hiding it behind the mask ill be happy XD

You can kinda see her face if you try hard enough

I'd rather see Yda killed off. Or at least exiled from the Scions for throwing her lot in with the Ala Mhigan Resistance. Especially if Ilberd gets involved since he...you know...committed all sorts of atrocities in the name of 'Ala Mhigo' and that seems to be pretty common for Ala Mhigans if you look at the likes of the Corpse Brigade and bitter, cynical refugees infesting Ul'dah.
Would you fault Raubahn for Ilberd's actions too? I have a feeling after the Ala Mhigans learn of what Ilberd did, they'll either kill him, or exile him anyways, if Raubahn doesn't get to him first, at least
Isnt 4.0 out in a year & 1/2? I feel like HW will end around 3.7/8
