1) you are the one saying that the PS3 playerbase is weak, when in fact most JP console players favor PS3 over PS4. YOU have to prove your claim, or you just end up using the burden of proof reversal fallacy. As for my claim, you just have to check the japanese market for consoles. PS4 has still to impose itself over PS3.

2) JP players represent ~30% of the playerbase and are the main audience of this Japanese-style game made by a japanese devs team. They do not even need to consider the occidental playerbase because occidentals are usually jumping on the bandwagon and buying consoles when they utterly lack of any interest. Thus the only playerbase that really matters when it comes to dropping the PS3 or not is the JP one.
