Just because it's a Lv60 dungeon still don't mean there are Lv60 experienced players in that dungeon. I remember when I first hit Lv60 and first entered Fractal. As a NIN, the other DPS talked crap as if I knew what was going on. In my own defense, when I enter content for the first time, I need to take it easy and know what and what not to do/expect. And many of my first time experiences were me asking people if there's anything I should know, but they never say nothing but "git gud".

Saying "git gud" is actually becoming overused and makes some players not give a crap if the community is already making them feel like crap rather than giving them advice instead of putitng them on blast.

    *EDIT*
When I was doing Thordan Ex for the first time, since the first solo Knight is a dps check, I would burn my CDs to help stop him. Instead of the group letting me know that I didn't need to do that, the first line in chat was, "jim dont be dumb. hold your cds".

Not going to lie; if you catch me AFTER I've been playing straight for a couple hours, I'll get a little lazy. Not "only use one combo" lazy, but I may let dots drop when I'm in a dungeon; I'll NEVER queue up for a Primal if I'm on Lazy Mode, though.

This is in regards to the dungeon itself though, not the job mechanics. Even before you stepped in, you alreayd have knowledge on how to use your mudras and armor crush to extend hueton, maybe even do it from the flank instead of rear.

No one in this thread had said to "gut gud" or anything along the means, as opposed to knowing the functions of your job.

How is this relevant to the topic? It feels like you're just speaking out of a bad experience than contribuiting to what's going in the topic.

I'm sorry, but attitudes like this need to stop. Content being easy doesn't give people a license to not try.

When someone wants to respond with the tired old defense of 'are you telling me how to play my class?', followed by 'shut up' (I've gotten this before whenever I pick out the occasional 50s and 60s that still don't know how their job works as if they didn't level it), the person deserves no sympathy. I asked a DRG much the same question in arbetorium the other week, and he wanted to learn, so I taught him what I could without slowing down the run.

If not me, if not the OP, SOMEONE will call them out/question them on their dps. Treating anyone who is possibly reaching out to help you like that in a 4 man where there's less pressure before you risk wasting even more people's time in harder content is self-destructive pride, willing ignorance, stupidity, and just plain being an ungrateful jerk.

. The reason the tank said those things was because they were in the same FC. I'll go out on a limb and say they are a couple. Yes, the first boss was taking forever, but there are a lot of new players around now and BLM was her first 60.

This was Fractal, it's not super hard and doesn't require people to know the ends and outs of their jobs. People learn at their own pace. if you want to suggest something they are doing wrong then that's fine. If they change, great! If not, either leave or just stay for the ride.
So if I meet a player that doesnt use any buff, combo, or any kind of rotation and all the does is to spam the atack, or even that the same playerr use wrong accesories to pass the ilvl lock. Then I should leave the game? Nop

Sorry but that BLM, as any orther job, had lot of oportunities on her way to lvl 60 to learn the rotations, and how to use buffs properly. He was with a partern right? Intersting that his friend didnt teach her how to play her job, neirther even to give her a guide or something.

Sadly the NA comunity is very toxic, most poeple is really lazy and dont even care about their job of what orthers said. They ust want to skip all and get to 60 asap.
Also the rest of the poeple dont seem to even care and even if the dont know the "bad players" they will always have aissue with the guy tring to "explain" him to to play beacause all they care is to beat the run as fast as possible.
Anyone who tried to explain to this players what todo, even if the teach them nicely. It inmedialty gets marked, they called them elistist, that they dont let new players play, that this is a game and fun = wipes, that this is not hardcore is dungeons, etc

    Its really a shame.

No excuse even it's only fractal. It may affect to other dungeon and you will say again like "It's only *insert dungeon name here* ". Like it or not, use the buff for bigger damage. It won't hurt you to use...

Perhaps I left out some text. Basically, someone above mention that a player should have knowledge of their skills by this time. What if I told you someone had been doing that dungeon a bunch on their other 3 Lv60 jobs, and JUST learned all their 52-60 abilites in one go prior to entering the dungeon? It still does not mean folks should be attacked on a job just because YOU'RE a Vet at that same job. Personally, I'm the type where if I dislike how NINs don't use Kassatsu + Doton in a dungeon on 4+ mobs, I just stay on NIN and do it myself, rather than provoking the other NIN.

I never said no one in this thread said it, either. However, we all know when someone tell you to "git gud", it's almost the same as, "Hey, you're doing a crap job. Uninstall your game."! Take it how you want to, bruh!

Again, it was mentioned that people don't know how to play their job, use their abilities, etc. I used this as an example because when you (generally speaking) do a certain thing for a while, then people keep telling you to NOT do it, then when it's time to do it, and you don't do it because now you got people bothering you about it, you still don't do it. That person continues to bring it up rather than just saying, "Ok. I mentioned it. He's being a jerk, so forget it."

"if we start wiping, maybe we can chat about my rotation then. "

That is a horrible mindset. I mean first of all, wipING. Implying it'll take multiple wipes and only then MAYBE they'll be open to advice. If you're in a dungeon with someone and they're willing to help, take it. I mean you seemed nice enough at first, you asked if they were a bot, but I blame the game for that. I like helping and like getting helped. At least you just got booted, it always fun when you're met with passive aggressive resistance. I was in Sohm Al and saw the AST was having trouble keeping the WAR healed. I told him he could use Synastry on the tank for more heals and using Arrow on himself for faster casts. He responded by giving me Spears for the rest of the dungeon and shuffling arrow.

Mentality from WoW. People still think DPS don't matter, that's why DPS have the lowest chances of getting comms compared to sub-par healers and tanks... ><
I don't think this WoW mentality will ever leave MMOs.

I think there's another thread about this stuff. It's titled somewhere along the lines "Duty Finder nightmares".... Go post there.
